July 13, 2019 - wedding date twins!

NMD, on February 3, 2018 at 12:18 PM Posted in Planning 0 22
Hey All!

Is is anyone else getting married on July 13, 2019?!

Is it too soon to start the wedding planning process?

We already booked a DJ, found a florist and photographer we love (but did not book yet) and I am about to book a hair stylist and videographer.

The date is so far away but I want to ensure the day is exactly how we envision!

My wedding is in July of this year and we got engaged and started planning last January. We didn’t book our venue til March and that’s when everything started to fall into place. I honestly don’t think it’s too early to plan or book vendors. The priority right now should be budget, guest list, and venue/catering. You have time for everything else, but I recommend getting most things booked by the year mark. Having a long engagement has reduced a lot of stress and we were able to get most of our first choice vendors! Do you have a venue? I see that you didn’t mention that in your post.

Perfect! Yes, we became engaged in May and booked our venue in December. We are getting married at the Liberty House in Jersey City.

Oh awesome, and what a lovely venue! I’m in NYC so I also considered a few NJ venues. I just asked because I’ve seen a few posts where people somehow booked vendors without securing a venue yet. 😆

Additionally, we created a guest list while venue searching because we knew our list would be about 200 or more. Trying to find a venue to accommodate over 100 or 150 and fit our budget was difficult in the city which is why we decided to look in NJ as well as Long Island (where we both are originally from).

We’re getting married on September 28,2019. We booked our venue on January 14. We have most things planned and know what we’re doing just haven’t actually done them. However we are doing a lot of diy so will be starting soon (: I don’t think it’s ever too early!

Hi date twin!!! ☺️ We’re getting married in the Syracuse, NY area!

I don’t think it’s too early to book anything! We’ve booked our venue, photographer, DJ and videographer already! It’s shch a relief knowing that the “big” things are already taken care of and now we can focus on the more fun things, like dresses and decor 😍

We just signed our contract for our venue yesterday and our date is 6/8/2019. They were already half booked up for June 2019 so I'm glad we started looking early. Planning early will give us more time to save money and plan without as much stress Smiley smile

Are you aware that your email address is your username? May want to change that so your email address isn't publicly available all over the internet. (Not just WW but anybody who looks at this page, even without an account).

Definitely not too early to book things, good for you. I would wait on asking your bridal party until about 8 months before. Anything earlier and they will get burnt out.

    We are twins! Yay!

My planning so far has been limited to Pinterest boards and making bridesmaid boxes. I'm ready to book everything but the FH thinks it's too early. I can't get him to look at anything let alone makes a decision. I feel like I'm the only one excited and concerned about our day being perfect.

Yay! I agree! Smiley laugh I love getting the more stressful things out of the way so I can focus on the detail!

I was told by our local bridal shop that I should start dress shopping this spring!

Yay! Noo I'm sure he's so excited! I didn't know if it was too early to start planning since I haven't met anyone who has had a two year engagement.

I would definitely recommend having a clear vision of exactly what you want before you start booking! It doesn't hurt to venue search or start by making a guest list so you know how many people you are working with!

Oh my goodness! I thought that by looking in early summer I would be early enough but I may have to rethink! 😂 do you have a certain style of dress in mind?!

Haha! I’m unsure of what style would fit best but I love Martina Liana and Maggie Sottero. My best friend got married in 2015 and was originally looking for a trumpet style dress but ended up getting a ballroom gown. So you never know once you try on different styles! 😄

We are getting married on Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Orange, CT! Yay wedding date twin!! You are ahead of me, as we got engaged in March and began planning in April. I think it's so great to get a head start and spread out the planning. I feel like there's more time to enjoy the engagement and less stress involved! Congrats and have a great time planning!
