My fiancé and I are getting married on July 11th and not postponing at this point. Our venue has said that they are only rescheduling through end of April right now. If this goes past the May first, they'll reschedule the weddings in the first two weeks of May, etc. and work forward in order but they anticipate my date being fine. Thag said, with so many people postponing I wanted to create a space for those waiting it out.

According to the IHME projections, things are improving. Nothing wrong with taking it day by day!! It's stressful, but it's a fluid situation and nothing is definite. Hope you're all doing well. 😁

Thanks for this. It's refreshing to see something in between, "everything is fine, you have nothing to worry about," and "omg, this us the end of the world, we have to postpone art least a year."

July 3rd and we're not postponing unless it is extremely necessary since he lives at a different state and has to fly down! I've been having ups and downs, some days I plan a bunch of things and finish a lot of the DIY projects and other I'm extremely down about all this situation. Friends don't help when they say that things won't be back to normal and that the amount of people I'll be able to have might be extremely limited so I should just go ahead and cancel. I don't mind that I might have to cut down the guest list but I do mind how people are insensitive about it and think it is simple to just cancel a wedding that I've been planning for so long while being in a long distance relationship.

The thing is, nobody can say with certainty what will be happening in July. The only information we have are the facts of today, which is that things are trending in the right direction. Some people get wrapped up in the negative and aren't following the data.

Yeah you're right! And that's why in my personal opinion it is too soon to cancel or postpone. Might as well wait and adjust our plans depending how things go!

We're July 31st- holding out hope, but holding onto invitations for a couple extra weeks. We've decided we won't change our date and we'll use the 10 person limit if we have to. Our date is important to me (my late father's birthday) so we'll party later if it comes to that.

July 18th and have not postponed. Just taking it day by day, but the uncertainty is soooo unnerving. Staying hopeful.

How is everyone doing? We're getting married in PA, which announced a couple of days ago that it would start slowly reopening the state on May 8. So, I guess that's a step in the right direction. Don't give up ladies, this can still improve by July!!!

Agreed! Feel like no one can really make a good decision until closer to the date. There is no telling what can or can't happen. Enjoying the positivity! I'm really looking forward to July as we already had to move from our first date in March. Good vibes! ✌️❤️

I got so excited when my FH told me that. He lives in PA but I like in Puerto Rico and the wedding will be here so is not like it helps me a lot but I'm glad that him and his family will probably be able to get here without any difficulties for our July 3rd wedding! I still don't know how we're going to have it, if the Venue will let me host it there or if I'll have to use my backyard but we're being positive and getting married no matter if we have to change our plans a little bit!

We are 8.8, and I finally decided to order our invites two days ago. Here in MI, we are supposed to find out today what our governor will extend the stay at home order until...

I did put a note on the back of our invite that asked guests for their email addresses so we could reach out if something changes. For example, we picked our menu choices based on what we read, not tasted (tasting was cancelled in March). Also, I don’t want to have to resend anything if I don’t have to do it.
I added an email line under the dinner options on the rsvp card. This should help us if anything (date, food options, time, etc.) changes before 8.8.

My venue is not allowing us to postpone yet. They are only postponing May weddings at this point. We're hoping that they'll allow us to postone by the beginning of June. We're getting married in southeastern Pennsylvania and they are not going to be moving to the yellow phase until at least June 1st, which means that it's unlikely they will get to the phase that allows gatherings (green) by our July 11 date.

I'm heartbroken. I really was hoping things would get better. I feel badly for even saying this, but I wish this could've happened next year, or any other year besides this one. We were SO close and we've been engaged 19 months. 😭 😭 😭
We'll probably get married on our original date and then we'll have the reception and wow renewal on our one year anniversary. I'm terrified that things won't even be better by then and I'll never have my celebration. I've sat through the weddings, bachelorette, and shower of almost every friend and cousin I have. I know it sounds selfish, but I just wanted my "moment" and I feel like this is a cruel joke. 😥

I'm in southeastern PA too! I'm in DelCo. I'm getting married on August 29, and I have not postponed yet either. My venue told me that they won't know if we have to postpone until maybe mid-June, first week of July at the latest. I'm going ahead and ordering my invitations next week, with a Covid-19 insert, because I'm afraid if I wait till July, and the wedding is on, I'll be rushing to send out the invitations.
