July wedding outdoor ceremony start time

Sydney, on October 23, 2019 at 1:00 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 10
For any brides who got married in mid-late July (or are currently planning a July wedding) and had an outdoor ceremony, what time did you have yours start? We plan to have a short ceremony but need to factor in the warm weather and best time to take photos.

Hi, I'm having an outdoor ceremony (weather permitting) in mid July. I was planning to start around 5:30 but now I'm questioning it haha. Here for opinions as well!

Where about will your outdoor ceremony take place? What is the temperatures typically like in that area in mid-late July?

We got married July 20 and our ceremony was indoors, but we took our photos outside. Our ceremony started at 4:30. Our ceremony was about 20-30 minutes and then receiving line then photos to follow. We were done with photos by 6 and it was still light outside.

We got married 7/20/2019 in Denver. It rained so we had to move our ceremony inside but we planned on starting outside at 5 PM. We took couples portraits during cocktail hour and snuck outside during sunset for a few more photos.

I had mine mid June and I live in southern California. We had it start 5pm and luckily by then the sun was mostly gone and it was cool

Where are you getting married? I live in NC and if I had to attend a wedding outside in mid/late July, it would be absolutely miserable. Do you have a humidity issue where you live? I would do it as late as possible to give the sun plenty of time to set.

In Montana, so no issue on humidity and the reception is at the same location, but I definitely don’t want it to be miserable for guests so we are leaning towards later.

Our ceremony is taking place in Montana on a golf course. It’s usually 80-85 degrees at that time of year but MT weather is unpredictable and sometimes it’s colder and sometimes it’s insanely hot!

July in Montana probably isn't too bad as far as heat goes? I would say 5:30 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. would be best. Again, I wouldn't do it any earlier to allow the sun to begin setting. Hopefully that will help with the possible heat some.

I got married 07/20/19. It was supposed to be an outdoor ceremony and we had it scheduled for 5pm. It ended up being one of the hottest days of the year here in NJ so we moved it inside because it was over 100 degrees plus humidity. We did take a few pictures outside, but not many because it was soooo hot.
