I think it depends on your location, size of wedding and whether you have a lot of out of town guests.

Yep. Changed mine from July 4th, 2020 to July 3rd, 2021. That being said, our wedding is in the New England area with 200 people invited so after these new guidelines came out we knew it just wasn’t going to be possible.

July 25th - no decisions have been made yet, but we have emailed the venue to see what a Plan B or postponement would look like. I was super confident we would be good about a month ago, but my confidence is wavering. We don't have a huge wedding, probably 80-90 people. Even if we could technically have the wedding my guess is a lot of people won't feel comfortable and/or it would be really different like no hugging, etc.

I would like to. My date is July 12,2020. I’m worried about everyone’s health and safety. I don’t see how things will be completely back to normal by then. So many people have lost their jobs.

Changed our July 18, 2020 date to August 14, 2021 (earliest our venue had). We are getting married on Long Island and do not believe the situation will improve enough to have a large gathering by then.

That said, I have a friend getting married on July 18 in Montana and they are still holding on. They are working on a Plan B though. It depends on your situation. Good luck to you!

We are July 11th, 2020 in Texas - 500 guests - and still moving forward as planned. I truly believe things will be on the up and up by then, at least in this part of the country. Depending on where you are, I'd hold out a little longer before postponing. With the conversations now turning to "reopening", I think we will all be surprised at how things look 3 or 4 weeks from now.

Exact same original date and postponement and number of guests! Just in Denver instead of New England. Did you already have your invites made? We did and I'm not sure what to do with them now, send them out so at least they get seen or just recycle?

Hope you're feeling okay with your decision, took a lot of stress off to have decided I thought!

Hi!! July 17th Bride here! Still holding on to hope! We are in Florida, which seems to be a state that can't decide what to do when it comes to COVID-19. Luckily, I am having a pretty small wedding. Should be 45 guests including my photographer that are suppose to attend. Only down fall is all my guests will be from out of state. Most that I have spoken with says as long as they can fly, they will be here. So I am trying to wait to make a decision later on in May or beginning of June. So much can change from now to the beginning of July. I would hold off, but have a back up plan. I have a back up plan that I have discussed with my venue and photographer at this time and if we are restricted gatherings of 50 people then I will move my wedding celebration to November 1st, 2020. Either way we have decided July 17th we will legally get married! Good luck and I wish you all the best during this difficult time!

We're scheduled for July 11th and am holding out hope we can still have it! We'd need to decide by the beginning of May so we can send out invitations but I just don't know what to do. Even if things open up again, I'm worried about guidelines surrounding # of people at gatherings. We had planned to invite around 200 people...

Same here! We are in Tallahassee , FL and honestly there are not too many places shut down here... You can't even tell that there's a virus going around. Most of our guests are from out of state , a few in South and central Florida but we are reducing our guest size to just family and we are okay with that. We are holding off on changes as well but have a back up date for August 16, 2020 ☺️

Best case you would probably want new invites, but I would be inclined to send the ones I had, but also include a "change the date" card. (Minted has a ton of cute ones you could add!) That way the already-purchased and -printed invites don't go straight in the trash and you are still giving the most current info.

My wedding was supposed to be July 25th. We decided to cancel and elope. Everything in my area is closed through June 5th so the planning has come to a holt and when things reopen there is no telling what kind of social distancing restrictions we’ll be on. I can’t imagine my guest 6 ft apart and everyone in masks. Just not the way I want my day. Maybe we’ll have a celebration sometime next year. But for now we’re ok with an intimate elopement just the two of us.

    Hi Jamie

My wedding is also July 25th. We have planned to postpone the ceremony and reception, but plan to get legally married. I want my family and friends around me to celebrate this special time in our lives.

Hi! Our original date was May 8, 2020 and we postponed to July 17, 2020. Holding out hope that we will be able to move forward!! Our wedding is also in Long Island with a guest list of about 250. Praying everyday restrictions will be lifted by then and we'll be able to have the wedding we spent a year and 1/2 planning. Smiley heart

Hi!!! I know Florida seems to not be taking this as serious as other states. I speak with my parents who are in Indiana and they basically haven't left the house for weeks. I have a job were I do have to report everyday and when I am out and about nothing looks like it really has changed. Biggest thing I can see is restaurants just aren't open for dining in. Everything else looks like it did before. I have guests from CA, VA, and IN......so I am watching how each state starts the re-opening process. All guests have said if they can fly they will be here! So I am praying Florida can be at a Phase 2 so we can have the wedding.

Praying for you and I hope everything turns out just like you dreamed it would be! Smiley heart
