I'm in Florida but our wedding is in July. Some things have been pushed back so making it harder to plan further but still trying to stay positive!

I’m a June bride that lives in NY (closer to Canada though) I am still planning for the wedding and hoping for the best. We have a back up date for next year. I know in the back of my head the wedding may not happen. I’m waiting to see how this month goes and make a decision in the begging May. I can’t Imagine how heartbroken I would be if we postpone and everything ends up being fine in June. I think one of the tough things about having a wedding in June is that things are projected to be much better, but that doesn’t mean bans will be lifted. I would have a backup plan but also keep going with things for June!

Hi! I'm a south florida bride with our wedding being June 26 in the Fort Lauderdale area. We ironically hadn't sent out invitations yet but if things keep moving how they are (in a positive direction) we are sending out invites at the end of this month with a note saying we are going to watch it. It really depends on if the CDC says we can have events of 100 or more people or not by then. We'll know for sure by June 1st .

But we have spoke to all our vendors and all but one are super understanding. If the CDC is still saying no events of this size we will get married at the court house and do our church wedding and reception next year.

But try to stay positive if you can.

Hi Katie! It seems like a lot of June brides are in "wait and see" mode until the end of April, but others have just felt safer rescheduling their large celebrations for a much later date - it's a totally personal decision!

Here's a post from a late May bride who is also in Florida if you want to connect about local concerns: Heart breaking time - Wedding Postponing, and you can connect with other June couples in these discussions:

I'm June 6th in Long Island, i feel exactly the same way you do. I have a soft hold on another date just in case. But like you said i would be devastated if i postponed and then June comes around and everything is fine! Fingers crossed!!!

Hello! I was a June 27, 2020 bride in Westchester NY. We made the decision last week to postpone. I can't see the way things are going that things will be back to normal by June. Social distancing will still remain in place in some capacity and I dont want this virus overshadowing my wedding. With that in mind, my planner and I decided to post pone to June 2021. It was a tough decision because I was adamant about not changing the date but now that I did, I feel so much more relieved. My cousin getting married in August of this year on Long Island also post-poned to next year

I am also a corporate event planner and general feel of our industry is that 2020 is a wash for large events, but still hopeful for Q4.

Best of luck to everyone! This STINKS!!!! xo

Our wedding date is set for June 28th in St. Augustine. As of right now, we're trying to stay hopeful as it seems that things are calming down here in Florida. We're hoping the governor makes a statement regarding re-opening the state soon. We think we'll know more by the end of this week even. Fingers crossed!
