June Brides... how many are holding on?

Are there any June brides holding out hope and not rescheduling??? I’m in Ohio and they are starting to reopen that state May 1st, it’s so hard to make a decision 😩

I have considered doing this. Honestly, I’m giving myself another 2 weeks before I decide to postpone to next June...😞

Just in case this helps anyone, I know things vary by state right now so everyone’s situation is different but tonight we sat down and made a plan for each of the phases and it’s helped me feel a little more prepared. If we are in phase 3 by then everything will go on as planned. Phase 2 says groups over 50 should be avoided unless social distancing is being practiced. We are expecting 70. If we are in that phase by June 6 we will go ahead as planned and as our ceremony and reception are outdoors at a state park we will be spreading the ceremony seating way out so people aren’t seated close together and moving the tables out of the shelter house we rented for the reception, using the shelter house for food and cake and to do the first dance, and spreading our tables out around the shelter house outside to where everyone can see cake cutting and first dance but are still spread out. If we are in phase one by then we will cancel our honeymoon and have a ceremony with cake and punch to follow with just our parents, siblings and grandparents.

June 13 in Colorado, we’re still holding on! Our stay at home order ends April 26 as of right now. We’re going to see where we’re at come mid-May but our venue is confident we’ll be able to have it, so we’re just hoping

Holding on to 6/27/20 for now bit reached out and put a soft hold on a back up date of 8/2 WEEKS ago. Our governor says he’s feeling
Optimistic and will announce his reopening plan next week. We always had plans to send invites last week of April so I think we will make our final call after we hear his plan.

My daughter's wedding is scheduled for June 20, 2020 in Hershey, PA. We have some of the strictest stay at home orders in the US and were holding out until 4-30 to decide. Today we learned we are on lock down until MAY 8, but we hit our peak. We stalk our state health, cdc, and imhe websites everyday. I am trying to keep my daughter calm. It's not easy, but if numbers keep coming down and Hershey Park stays set to open June 1 and NY Broadway June 9th, we are holding out hope for June 20th! Hang in there!

We ha e postponed out June 20th wedding. I date yet 😭😭😭. Majority of our guests are traveling from out of state. Also my fiancé is a nurse and currently working a ton to help with everything going on so we’re unsure of when to even postpone to.

Wish all June brides luck and hope you find a way to make your special day happen. ❣️

June 27th original date. Postponing to summer 2021. We decided to postpone because things were too uncertain in MA. When spreading the news, everyone was very sympathetic but SO relieved that we postponed. We realized that having the wedding on the original date would be putting people in a difficult situation. People are going to feel at risk for a while and we didn’t want people to be feeling that way at our wedding. We also wanted to be able to enjoy the time leading up to the wedding without being stressed out and wondering if something were to happen that would force us to cancel last minute.

Ours was June 5, 2020 and we made the difficult decision to postpone until June 4, 2021. It’s in Lake Tahoe, so is a destination wedding for us and all our guests. We couldn’t risk that things won’t be better enough for us to have had our wedding and compromise the health and safety of all our guests flying in. Our vendors encouraged us to go ahead and postpone, so we just pushed it back a year. With things being so uncertain in the coming months, it gave us peace of mind. While it’s not ideal to wait a whole other year, we are trying to remain positive and will at least have something to look forward to for next year. It will be just as beautiful and amazing next year, if not more, because we will have a whole different outlook after all of this. Good luck to everyone still trying to decide!! :-)

June 20th in Colorado - all of the family are saying to postpone. We have a backup date for June 2021 and I need to make the final call in the next week or so. Really hate the idea of waiting another year, but it also wouldn’t be the same without the people we want there.

June 19th bride and officially changed to September 12 last week. Almost 1/2 our guests are coming from out of state, including my future in laws. It’s been an absolute nightmare and I’m still not confident things will be ok in September.

June 27th 2020 bride, I just made the decision to postpone this week. I held on for as long as I could but being so close to NYC and having so many friends and family working in hospitals on the covid floor and other family members who are high risk. In the end I wanted to keep everyone safe and I am not convinced that my state will be open for gatherings over 100.

We are going to honor our original date and get legally married this June. Our formal wedding with all of our family/friends will be a year later on our first anniversary.

July 18th, 2020. We haven’t officially moved anything yet but I plan to! I doubt I’ll be able to have my full guest list by that time here in PA but it is what it is I guess! I don’t think things in our county will open up until mid to late May unfortunately. I can’t imagine stressing over this for a whole year and pushing it to 2021 like I’ve seen others do. They are much calmer and patient than me!

I hope you have a wonderful wedding! And it is everything you hoped for!

I'm in Ohio, also, and I've seen some people still having their April weddings, so I would say hang on! It may not have been how they envisioned it, but they used zoom so everyone could see and then their were only 10 people at the location, so they could practice social distancing. Don't let this ruin your plan 💜

I’m in Ohio too and we’ve rescheduled our June 13th wedding because I don’t think we’re going to be allowed in groups by then. Plus I don’t want to make people uncomfortable trying to choose their health or our wedding. It’s a tough decision. Praying for you.
