Jurassic Park wedding ideas

Hahahah! A girl I know just got married a couple months ago and LOVES dinosaurs. They made thier grand entrance into the theme song.

-Dinosaur egg wedding favors.

-Custom Logo using the original Jurassic Park logo

-Reception/ceremony outdoors at a local zoo to get the tropical feel that JP has in the movie

-OR a museum of Natural History

-Archeologist "kits" for any kiddos invited to wedding to occupy them

-Dino cuff links/ties for the guys

You could have a dinosaur peeking out of the cake. Or Bride and Groom dinosaur cake toppers.

You could have a sign near the gifts that says "rawr, it means I love you in dinosaur"

Is there a song that is played during the movie? If I have see it it's been a lonnnng time. If so, you could use that as your entrance song.

You don't want a T-Rex to suddenly appear and roar as you are leaving the ceremony? haha. This sounds awesome!

The Dino egg wedding favors could be cool. I know there's candy versions you can get. Or there's also the plastic cases you could put something inside.

I'd see if you can fit the theme music in there somewhere.

Hahaha that is AWESOME! We had a dinosaur themed engagement shoot. If you have a dinosaur park around your hometown, that'd be a cool place to have the wedding. Our e-party was dinosaur themed, too, and we had dino decor and even dinosaur shaped cookies.

Do you have a venue picked out yet? If not, do you have a museum within a reasonable distance that has dinosaur bones? http://www.ansp.org/visit/event-rentals/dino-hall/ We have the Academy of Natural Sciences. You can set up in the dino hall for an event. Seems pretty fitting if you have something similar near you.

This is awesome. I wonder if you could do something like T rex footprints leading to the reception? Maltese had a great idea to make a logo for yourselves using the movie logo, like with your names and silhouettes. I love Jeff Goldblum's character, so I'm trying to think of something you could do to incorporate the water cup he had in the car, like make it part of your centerpieces. People walking around the tables would make the water shake!

Dino cake for sure, walk down the aisle to the instrumental to Jurassic Park? Love CrystalS Idea for a Museum reception, that would play so very nicely into your theme. When I googled, I saw one that at dinosaur topiary for centerpieces! But I personally would center the vision around something like the second picture, with a softer green.

Oh, and how could I forget to mention the soundtrack. I'd definitely use the score for dinner music. Beautiful music in that movie.

I don't have any ideas, but I had to say I LOVE YOUR THEME! My FH and I also love Jurassic Park a ton.

I love this! FH would never let me get away with it, so I'll be living vicariously through you. I would add spray painted dinosaur figurines to the centerpieces somehow, maybe gold?

Ok back to reality. One of the things I remember most about Jurassic Park was the cane topped with amber that had some insect in it. You could incorporate pieces of amber into it. Maybe small pieces tied onto the napkins or dangling from the centerpieces. You can find amber with insects and plants in it. You could also use use fossils. I collect stones. I have a bunch of nice fossils and pieces of amber. I would recommend getting to a gem show when they come to your area, but you can look around on google.

I wanted this theme;we even had a venue with a huge trex as the ceremony back drop. but due to budget we couldn't afford it

What a neat theme! Could you do a photo booth/ photo posing area with dinosaurs in the background? What about the t Rex roar before you make your entrance to the reception?

For your exit, can you get ahold of some of those giant flashlights? That may not be very wedding-y but all these other ideas are amazing!!!
