Hey everyone!

As the title indicates I am having a Jurassic Park themed wedding and I need some ideas. I don't want it to be like "in your face" Jurassic Park, but I want a classy and fun way to make this theme work. This is our (FH and I) favorite movie and we want a fun and "never been done before" wedding. Our colors are dark green and white and each table will be named after a dinosaur with a little fun fact about them, but that's all I have.

Get your thinking caps on because I need more ideas. : )

When I worked for a nonprofitwe did Jurassic Park as the theme for our dinner auction. It was so much fun! We have a 15' tall t-rex, other dinosaurs that moved and made noise and an actual jeep that was a replica of the ones seen in the movie. I really wanted to do these terrariums as our centerpiece but ended up going a different direction, could be really cool for a wedding though!

My daughter loves dinosaurs so we painted a bunch of dinosaur toys (the large plastic ones) and cut wholes into their backs and use them to grow air plants in. Could be a cute idea for centerpieces? If you aren't feeling crafty search dinosaur planters on etsy and a ton pop up Smiley smile

Love this! I teach the book to my students - I just finished rereading it last week.

Instead of chargers, use large fern fronds.

Have a dino tail sticking out the back of your cake.

Since Malcolm talks about the Butterfly Effect, have butterflies somewhere.

Green jello (remember when the raptors were near Lexi and she was shaking)

All of these ideas are amazing!!! I like the idea of using the amber somehow, and I love the "we spared no expense" a lot. Thank you so much, now I hope I can pull this off with these ideas. "Hold on to your butts" : )

Samantha, you can wire wrap small pieces of amber and have them dangling practically anywhere.

I have gone this gem show a # of times: http://www.mineralevents.com/ They travel all over. You might be able to find when they will be near you.

This is another good one. http://www.rocksandminerals.org/Back%20Issues/2010/July-August%202010/coming-events-full.html

Ummmmmm I AM OBSESSED WITH YOUR IDEA!

I am a dino freak myself. Had I not become an attorney, I would have become a paleontologist. I worked at the geology museum in undergrad and went on fossil digs each summer with the museum. I just love fossils and dinosaurs and I am dying to see pictures of your wedding now. And as a dino lover, how can you not love jurassic park? great movie.

I downloaded a dinosaur font from DAfont.com and am incorporating it randomly throughout our printouts- our menu and our programs. Anyone who knows me will get a little laugh when they see a little dinosaur strategically placed here or there Smiley smile Just a little personalization.

I think you have some super cute ideas here! Like I said, can't wait to see how your wedding turns out!!!!
