Hello Ladies! How's everyone doing out there? Are you all staying safe and healthy and 6 feet apart? How many of you are still working? My job is considered "essential" so I have to be here and can not work from home. The only one's allowed to work from home are our "Higher ups". That kind of...

Hello Ladies! How's everyone doing out there? Are you all staying safe and healthy and 6 feet apart? How many of you are still working? My job is considered "essential" so I have to be here and can not work from home. The only one's allowed to work from home are our "Higher ups". That kind of frustrates me since I have kids, and one of them is doing school remotely now! Smiley sad Plus I have a 3 year old that has breathing issues. I'd hate to bring something home to her at this point! Hows everyone's planning coming along? Our wedding is 8/13/21 and we have our Church, Reception Ballroom and Decorator all hired/booked. Hope you're all doing well and remembering to wash your hands Smiley smile

We’re in PA, should be nearly 2 more weeks before the application is available.

I hope you and your family stay healthy, Chrystal. I wish everyone are save from this pandemic.

We stayed home since 6th of March, and I only go out to my backyard once in a while. I removed the weeds and planted flowers while the weather is just right, not too cold, not too hot, and between the rains.

That has to be frustrating! I already worked from home 90% of the time before all this started (project manager in healthcare, with clients nationwide), so it was an easy transition to 100% remote for me. But company wide, just about everyone who isn't actually clinical staff seeing patients is working remote now. A few people go into our support office here and there for a change of scenery, but there's never more than 4 or 5 there at a time now (normally there would be around 40-50 people there on any given day).

My FH is in probation and also able to work primarily from home, though he does have to go out a couple days a week to do things with his offenders in person (drug screens, transfers, arrests, interview with their kids/family, etc). He's taking some of his current downtime with work to take care of some pre-reqs to go back to school for a triple masters in public policy (he already has one in criminal justice), which will also give him enough credits to be partway through a PhD for the same. He's trying to get more involved in public policy both through his work, and through some volunteer boards he's involved with.

Our planning is pretty much done. Both for our planned full wedding, and a back up plan (July 18th is still up in the air as to whether we'll be able to go ahead or not).

Oh I wish I could find a job doing that! I'd love to just be safe at home right now! Sounds like you FH is on the right track, also!!! Good for him!!! I surely hope you're able to go thru with your wedding! I feel so bad for the ones that have already had to reschedule!

I am still working Monday-Friday at my office (law firm). My FH was laid off from his job at a pain management clinic. Unfortunately, it sounds like the company may go under since their new CEO sucks and they may not have the funding to continue to be open. We found this out through a news article mind you, because they didn't have the decency to even send an email/ letter to let them know before the interview was published. But wedding planning is going good, everything is basically done. I need to get alterations for my dress eventually but have to wait till places re-open. Thankfully things are looking good here for the virus, and it is slowing down. I addressed all of my invites this weekend. Just need postage for them.

I am “essential” as well but can work from home thankfully! I am hoping we can have our wedding (only been engaged a few weeks) in September 2021 so we have plenty of time!

Worried about finding a venue without breaking the bank and being able to contact vendors amidst this virus! Way to get your planning in though! Remain safe & healthy!

Hello! I hope you are staying safe!

My FH was laid off about a month ago due to the casinos in Las Vegas being closed so he's trying to collect unemployment. Still waiting... I work for an HOA Office that is 'in house' in the gated community. We are still working in the office and have the option to work from home.

We are considering postponing are October 2020 wedding because of many reasons... we are trying to hold out until at least mid-May but now we are scared all the dates will be taken! Ugh!

    Stay safe!

OMG THATS AWFUL!!!!!!!!! I'd be so pissed!!!! Hopefully he is able to find something once this all blows over! Where are you guys at? We are starting to peak here I think. We are still in pretty decent shape as we are a bit more spread out where I am but it's still scary. When is your wedding planned?

What do you do for your work? I hope your wedding will happen too since it's a month after mine Smiley smile I'm sure finding stuff available right now is tough with everything closed or limited hours! I was thankfully able to solidify our plans before the world imploded with germs. Thank Gosh, too because with all the canceling and rescheduling, I'm sure my places/people will be rebooked in no time, but I'm able to keep my plans solid! Whew! Thank you! You stay safe also!

We are in north/ central Wisconsin. So we haven't been hit too hard. Larger town but not a major city type place. Today is the day we are supposed to peak for the state, but they haven't released the numbers yet for today. My FH is a medical assistant and there are jobs posted for places but they have a hiring freeze at most places right now. So I'm sure he will find something after this is over. My wedding is in September of 2020, no plans to cancel it. Thankfully everything is paid off too and my parents offered to help with the wedding when we first got engaged. They are both still working my dad in a food factory type place and my mom in a pharmacy. So my FH and I paid off our portion of wedding things awhile back. Mainly just small things left to do.

Oh you're close to us! We are in North Dakota. We are up to 331 cases today and 8 deaths, according to the ND Dept of Health. Doesn't seem like a lot, but for our area, it's enough!

We have a larger count as a state as a whole. But most are concentrated in Milwaukee area with over half being there. I think we were at 3,000 something this morning over 1,500 of those in Milwaukee if I heard the news right (was getting ready for work at the time). We have 12 in our county, 7 recovered and 1 death; heard some gossip that it wasn't actually from COVID though for the cause of death.

I work in the Mental Health Field in NY in a rural area and actually live in a more rural town (less than 1,000) in Northeastern PA!

I just want to nail down a venue and figure out everything so I can plan a little easier! I have a venue in mind about 10 miles from our house and we could have a barn/fall wedding but would need to look at food and whatnot as well! Stay safe out there & thank you for your commitment as an essential worker! 😊

That's exactly where I was at until i got things nailed down. It makes everything else so much easier!!! And absolutely! I work for a diary farm. We still have to make sure our milk is getting produced and shipped out to where it needs to go! Smiley smile

Oh yes! Farmers are definitely essential thank goodness for you! So the dream of a barn wedding isn’t too weird to you then I am sure 😂

Hopefully we can do that! I’m from a suburban area though originally more like the city into the country kind of girl/theme in a way! Lol.
