Hello Ladies! How's everyone doing out there? Are you all staying safe and healthy and 6 feet apart? How many of you are still working? My job is considered "essential" so I have to be here and can not work from home. The only one's allowed to work from home are our "Higher ups". That kind of...

Hello Ladies! How's everyone doing out there? Are you all staying safe and healthy and 6 feet apart? How many of you are still working? My job is considered "essential" so I have to be here and can not work from home. The only one's allowed to work from home are our "Higher ups". That kind of frustrates me since I have kids, and one of them is doing school remotely now! Smiley sad Plus I have a 3 year old that has breathing issues. I'd hate to bring something home to her at this point! Hows everyone's planning coming along? Our wedding is 8/13/21 and we have our Church, Reception Ballroom and Decorator all hired/booked. Hope you're all doing well and remembering to wash your hands Smiley smile

Actually I know it's true. My co-worker's FIL passed away this morning, when the folks arrived to do whatever they do after someone passes away. They started questioning whether he had any COVID symptoms; my co-worker and her husband where like no he has been home for the past few weeks. They were like are you sure, it seemed really strange to them so they ended up calling the local sheriff. Apparently it's a new thing some are doing, not sure why a person would want more reported deaths in a county from COVID. But the line of questioning started to bother my co-worker. The sheriff told them why.

HAHA Nope! Not at all! They are actually VERY common in North Dakota. A lot of people were surprised we didn't go toward that way for ours. My coworker actually got married in a barn here and it was beautiful! It snowed on her wedding day! I'm sure you will be able to pull it off and make it perfect! Smiley smile

Yeah. Rumor has it they get more funding for the more deaths that are reported. Sad state of affairs we are living in. Smiley sad I don't blame your coworker at all for feeling off about it. Ugh. Smiley sad My condolences to their family. Would be interested to know if they did count his death as Covid.

Yeah, I'm curious to know too. I feel bad for them, especially considering everything going on right now.

It’s the budget part that makes me the most nervous. My family is able & willing to help but we will see how much we will have to spend though! Actually have our #1 venue choice answer us immediately so I’m talking to my fiancée and we will go look at it soon! 😊🤞

Ok so sorry you are dealing with a child with breathing issues!! Praying for your family that all is ok!! This website has really been a wonderful form of support in these times - I used to hate on forums of any kind but this has been great! For the most part, such positivity and encouragement. Not judgment - just brides discussing and doing what is appropriate for themselves and their wedding.

We are hanging in there! Just moved our 200 person wedding from May 23 to September. We feel good about it. If it helps at all, FH is a doctor at a big hospital in Manhattan - we thought he would be re-deployed to the ICU but things have plateaued and they don’t need any doctors from any other groups anymore as of now, so that was encouraging to us! We are grateful for work in this time, but of course are sad about postponing and I worry about his exposure. Just doing the best we can!! Thinking of everyone going thru this!

Hello Smiley smile My FH and I are both still working, which is a small blessing. It's difficult because our daughter's daycare closed at least until Monday. I'm concerned that it will be extended, which will cause issues for us. We pushed back our wedding, which was supposed to be 7/31/2021 because we want to move next year. But we're thinking about doing a private elopement in the mountains beforehand.

My fiance and I are essential and still working. We are waiting until the end of April to see if we need to postpone. We have a June 7th Wedding.
I'm still stressed and it's getting worse every day.

Thank you so much! She's 3 now so we are hoping she will outgrow it soon, or in a few years. She has Reactive Airway Disease and gets Croup so she has to use a nebulizer when she gets sick. We had a few complications at birth that I think may have contributed to it. Who knows really. I do know that she is more at risk tho if she contracts covid, so that scares me.

Was it difficult to move your wedding? I am SO grateful to hear things are slowing down over in your neck of the woods! Tell your husband thank you for helping people, and Good luck with everything! Smiley smile We will all get thru this eventually! I can't wait for some normalcy again, without living in fear all the time Smiley smile

I actually willingly pulled my daughter out of daycare this week and last, because there was a daycare here with 2 workers that tested positive and shut down, so I was afraid my daycare would maybe take "Drop in's" and that freaks me out. I don't know who's coming and going and where they've been so I feel safer with her being at home with my oldest.. She's gotta do remote school anyways so she's also home. I'd rather have them home safe then put either of them in jeopardy. Too bad my work isn't on board with me being there with them tho! Thankfully Myself and FH both work in the same area which is about 4 mins from home. We both go home on breaks to make sure the house is still standing! LOL

I'm in Gastro and with the new mutations of this pandemic we have lots of calls about symptoms and rather the 2 can be related.

Oh yes! i've heard that some people appx 1-5% are experiencing gastro issues with it. That's scary too. I think everyone is on edge when anything happens now. I know I have issues with allergies and i was coughing and sniffling the other day and my FH started freaking out. I knew it was allergies tho, because my eyes and skin were itchy.
