Hello Ladies! How's everyone doing out there? Are you all staying safe and healthy and 6 feet apart? How many of you are still working? My job is considered "essential" so I have to be here and can not work from home. The only one's allowed to work from home are our "Higher ups". That kind of...

Hello Ladies! How's everyone doing out there? Are you all staying safe and healthy and 6 feet apart? How many of you are still working? My job is considered "essential" so I have to be here and can not work from home. The only one's allowed to work from home are our "Higher ups". That kind of frustrates me since I have kids, and one of them is doing school remotely now! Smiley sad Plus I have a 3 year old that has breathing issues. I'd hate to bring something home to her at this point! Hows everyone's planning coming along? Our wedding is 8/13/21 and we have our Church, Reception Ballroom and Decorator all hired/booked. Hope you're all doing well and remembering to wash your hands Smiley smile

Hah, that’s good that you can check xD. I daughter is 2.5 and an only child, definitely can’t leave her home alone so we’re making do as well as we can.

Hi Brides! My FH and I are both able to work from home, which is nice. Our wedding is scheduled for June 20th, and I am thinking we are probably going to have to postpone it. I'm still holding out a little bit of hope though! Stay safe :-)

Hello glad you guys have safety precautions in place to help alleviate the spread of germs at home, we do the same. Please continue to be safe.

My fiance and I both work for the airlines are are essential workers I guess. Yes shockingly people are still traveling a lot less but nonetheless still flying out and in. We have 2 older kids between us at home (18 &13) they are going stir crazy. We both took a 20% pay cut which sucks because we still have balances on our wedding and the boys eat like growing men. (lol) Such is life we are still blessed and count our blessings every day. We are getting married 9/26 in JA God willing!

Isn't it crazy that we have to do these precautions to keep ourselves and our family safe!? I guess I'd do it a 1000 more times over if it meant them staying healthy, but still crazy no less!!!! Good luck on the wedding!!!

We're both furloughed/on catastrophe pay, though DH's job is making noises about reopening in early May. This makes me nervous, as he would have to go on the subway... and his job is in a mall attached to a train station. They say they would be taking every precaution, but he turned down hazard pay and a transfer because I have a history of pneumonia... and we're trying to start a family.

So far, we've been doing ok. We're trying to be both gentle with ourselves - we live right outside NYC, and his parents/most of our friends live IN NYC, so there's a lot of trauma floating around - but also be somewhat productive. We're slowly organizing the apartment, playing with our kitchen-related wedding gifts, joining virtual creative endeavors (we're both in theatre), and trying to stay somewhat active (this is hampered, on his end, by a hurt foot). My MOH/dear friend just made us some face masks, so we can go out a little more safely.

The biggest part is, simply, that we're in the hardest hit area. Balancing keeping up with the news and staying emotionally functional is ... tough. We know several people who have had it/probably had it (testing is difficult to obtain), and we're not sure if his dad did, or if he had a bad sinus infection. Our city closed all parks weeks ago, and the state closed all remaining parks last week. Even going out for a walk is kind of scary.

So, if I seem a little off on the forums lately... that's why.

Still working ! Both me and my fiancé work in healthcare and have been near people diagnosed with COVID-19. Smiley cry

Our wedding is May 15th, so we decided (for everyone else's safety) to change our ceremony to immediate family only. We're going to livestream our wedding so our grandparents can still see it! And we'll do a big celebration with everyone later on, once everything is cleared up.

It's definitely not what we had originally envisioned, but we think it'll be kind of fun having a virtual wedding! We're also thinking it may be fun to do some wedding pics with our masks on for memorabilia Smiley laugh

Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!
