Just changed wedding dress to ivory-wedding colors are white, black and red. Will this work? Wedding is Dec 28

Beth, on November 24, 2013 at 10:55 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 9

I just got a new wedding dress today in ivory. I was engaged before and was going to wear the dress I got for the wedding that never took place, but today on a whim I decided no, I don't want to! New man, new dress. Here's my problem-everything is the same except now my dress is ivory and 3 flower girls have white dresses, bridesmaids have white rose bouquets, groomsmen have white shirts (groom is wearing a black shirt so I don’t have to worry about that), and my bouquet consists of white calla lilies and red roses. My wedding is in a month-December 28th. All the bouquets are made already. I could probably find ivory calla lilies for my bouquet I guess. But my question is: Is my wedding going to look stupid now? I need some reassurance. I attached my dress and the flower girl dress. They will be wearing a red sash, not a black one. Thank you!!!!

My dress is ivory, and my colors are also red black and white. No one else would notice that detail except you! Don't worry about it too much. It'll all blend perfectly<3

I have heard that ivory and white when together, makes the ivory color look funny. So I don't think this would be a problem until you all get together for pictures but even then a think a good photographer can make it all blend good. As long as FH isn't wearing white you should be fine.

I'm not sure, but when I see ivory next to white; slightly dingy. If you can reorder the flowers; I think it would be fine. I'm sure the photographer can work magic with the pics. Good Luck

I just went for my alterations appointment and brought my flowers with me and they look awesome!!!! I got so many compliments on my dress and the flowers together so no worries about ivory and white together :-)

Ivory next to white makes the ivory look old and dirty. I would personally reconsider the white and maybe change it to ivory, black and red, if it's not too late. It really depends on how white the white is and how ivory the ivory. Maybe go take the white dresses to DB and hold them up next to the sample of the dress you purchased.

You could also change the sash on the flower girls to ivory. My wedding dress is a "soft white", and my sash is ivory. My veil is ivory. You can see the difference in the sash, but not in the veil.
