I understand being nervous. Trump stated that it MAY not be over till then. One of the things you should take into consideration is that China is seeing a large decrease in the number of cases. Most people are recovering at this point. China has 1.6 BILLION people as compared to the US which has 350 million. If China’s outbreak has slowed in 30 days ours will to. Never stop living life because of fear! We still need to enjoy the things we have been looking forward to in life.

Thank you for posting this! I was trying to figure a way to word this. And yes we need to enjoy things we have been looking forward to in life. Including the weddings we are all currently planning. Things will get better we just need to patient and positive right now.

It’s making me nervous to put my money down with another vendor...

First off, Trump's given an awful lot of misinformation, so I wouldn't be listening to anything he's saying. Listen to the CDC and healthcare professionals, as well as the word of Dr. Anthony Fauci, who's the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Second, I would hold off making any concrete cancelling/postponing decision for at least another month. We're mirroring Italy more than we're mirroring China in that we didn't immediately act or over-react to the virus. We're about 10-14 days behind them, and the worst is hitting them right now. I think I'd monitor everything going on and make solid plans around the beginning of May, depending on how everything's going then. I'm a professional in the wedding industry and that's what I've been telling my brides and grooms the last few days.
