First fiesta, then my wedding! I planned my wedding for two years, and my fiance and I just came to the rough decision to postpone it. We'd already spent most of this year stressing that the pandemic would affect our wedding. I missed out on going shopping for bridesmaid dresses with my friends, and our bachelor/bachelorette parties would more than likely have been cancelled. We also didn't want our family and friends to risk their health just to come to our wedding. We want to celebrate our love and devotion to each other and have our big day be just about that.
Sadly, I did already order invitations and a couple of things that have our date on them, but fortunately Shutterfly is offering credits for new invitations for all orders placed through September 1. Changing our honeymoon flight might be a little harder, but I'm trying to take things one at a time.
Anyway, I just wanted to share what led us to make this choice. We're definitely disappointed, but we think we have a better chance at having the wedding we'd planned and looked forward to next year. My heart goes out to all of you fellow brides & grooms wrestling with this same decision and no matter what you settle on, I wish you health, happiness and a wonderful wedding day
