Hi all. My wedding experience thus far has been, well, sad. I had four bridesmaids. Three months ago one of my bridesmaids dropped out due to money issues which is understandable. I asked another close friend, she agreed and was very happy! Well, today I wake up to the news that new bridesmaid is pregnant and doesn’t want to participate in the wedding now. So I’m out TWO bridesmaids since the beginning of this whole thing and my dress color scheme calls for four people. I’m just really sad and bummed because I’m going to have to change several things just to make it work. And this may seem crazy, but I’m bummed there is going to be an uneven number of bridesmaids for photos.. I don’t like the look of two on one side and just one on the other. I’m bummed, I’m sad, I’m disappointed.. I always show up and show out for my friends but they can’t do the same for me. Sorry for the rant, don’t really have anyone else to tell.

If you’re in San Antonio, Tx, or surrounding areas, my fiancé will stand in it for you. Nothing feels worse than people you thought were solid, just fall out to reasons unforeseen.

The worst thing you can ever do is put too much care into how much other people care. They just don't. It's not their wedding and they can't care about every little detail and their own life.
Aside from that, you don't want to be super sensitive to every little thing that's not perfect because it ruins this beautiful time in your life. It makes it not fun and at worst can turn you into a Bridezilla. Just roll with the punches and work things out as they come. Don't care so much about the little things that don't really make all that much of a difference to anyone but you. It will forever taint this time for you and it's just not worth it.

Awwww I'm sorry you're going through this weddings are stressful enough especially when planning it yourself and you have people not cooperating smh. I have 7 bridesmaids one of them offered to have my dress made, someone do invitations and hair and make up. Both people for the dress and invitations have flaked on me and I'm to the point now is hair and make up even going to go as planned with her since everything else she's been offering hasn't come through. One of my bridesmaids dropped out Friday which was is understandable at least she gave me some notice but both girls are my fiancès family and I only asked them because of who they are now I'm trying to figure things out. I really hope it all works out for you and is beautiful please don't be like me and stress yourself out.

That’s disappointing , and so far I started with four bridesmaids but now I have three . I don’t mind the odd number so much and my fiancé decided to cut one of his groomsmen to make it even . He’s so sweet . I understand completely how you feel but think of it this way the three you do have are willing to support and be there to help you . That’s what I think about the three I have . They haven’t let me down since .

I am so sorry, the disappointment is really unavoidable but just know you have your closest and dearest friends/family members by your side!
Also this community is for support! So thank you for sharing…you will get through this.
