Just said yes to the completely opposite dress that i wanted

I went dress shopping today. I tried on my selected dresses. All of them fitted (mermaid and fit and flare) and low or illusion back. Super exited I could pull off my dream dress and ready to say yes… my daughter says: ‘Mum, it s a really nice dress, but could you just try on ‘my’ dream dress just to see?’ I asked the lady who was helping me if that was okay, since I was sure that wasn’t the dress I was going to pick. She got the dress and I tried it on. And… it was the dress that made me smile the most.

And the dress I said yes to. Ofcourse I am happy, but since it is so Just said yes to the completely opposite dress that i wanted 1

different than what I imagined myself getting married in, I need some reassurance. What do you guys think?

That’s beautiful, and such a special memory between you and your daughter! I know a lot of brides who pick the opposite of what they’d intended going in, so don’t worry. There’s a difference once you see it on YOU instead of a hanger or model.

You cannot go wrong with that dress. Plus, this seems like a good way of giving your daughter the opportunity to contribute to the wedding.

The dress looks great on you, fits your figure well, very beautiful. When I went shopping I thought it would be fun and exciting. It totally was not. It was frustrating and exhausting. I went in thinking I wanted a certain type of dress, to end up choosing what I thought I would never want to wear. But as long as you love it and you feel good in it, then that's it. You're daughter chose a fabulous dress.
