Just wondering

Tiffany, on July 11, 2022 at 10:01 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 3
So when I was younger about 10 years ago we got married. We didn’t have a lot of money then I was not able to do a wedding. So we chose to do it at our 10 year anniversary with the renewing of our vows. There is barely anything out here that has to do with renewing your vows. Has anyone done this. Is there anything out there for the renewal I see some I still dos and just wondering if there a list for do’s and don’ts for it.

I think the we still do and always will see the most popular. I wouldn’t think there are any don’ts when it comes to having a vow renewal celebration. This can be totally up you to you both on what you plan to do and how you want to do it. Congratulations on 10 years!

The biggest difference I’ve seen (I’ve been a guest numerous times) between vow renewals (10 years and under) and weddings is guest size, as the couple tends to just invite their immediate family and/or closest friends - similar to a micro wedding. They also did not have bridal parties. Many of them were at destination locations, so they had a less formal dress code (beach or cocktail attire), albeit many couples wore wedding attire (some wore their original attire). The few vow renewals (25 years, 30 years, 40 years) that had larger guest lists were similar to anniversary parties, focusing more on food and conversation at a local venue.
