It's our final tradition! How do you feel about the cake smash? Is it a cute and fun memorable wedding moment? Or would you be super pissed if your new spouse smashed cake in your face? 🍰 What's your vote on the cake smash? Keep or cancel? Photo by Naomi Wong Photography in Kapaa, HI Thanks for...

    CANCEL

Paying waaaay too much for my hair and makeup and dress to ruin them all for some cake. We can smash cake later when I'm not in an expensive dress and don't still have dancing and wedding things to do. lol

Cancel! I had coffee cake for wedding cake. It would have been more painful than funny.

Maybe keep, if its sweet and only a small amount of frosting, but definitely no way we will be smashing the cake in each others faces.

Cancel. I asked my FH what he thought about this and this was his response:

"How much are you spending on your makeup? Yeah, we gotta make that last all night and into next week." LOL

Cancel. It’s tacky and predictable. There are many ways to have fun at your wedding. This is not one of them.

Cancel, I told my fiance I don't want cake to get all over my dress or to get knocked on my ass on accident. Lol he said he won't be mean about it so I told him if he's cute about it he can do it but otherwise I don't want to do it.

I'm on the iffy side of this subject. Not sure I really want cake smashed in my face n end up getting in my eye (happened to my Aunt at her wedding due to my brother smashing cake in her face as a joke). I'm siding against this but haven't discussed it with my FH yet.

I consider it distasteful and tacky but most of all it starts the marriage off on the wrong foot, unless you are one of one of those all fun and chill couples.

At my last wedding, my ex husband and I agreed not to do it. Well my sis/MOH ended up shoving a cupcake in bis mouth when he turned to say something to her so his best man felt the need to smash a cupcake in my face. He actually chased me down to do it. It was hilarious and everyone had a good laugh about it. I ended up changing into my 2nd dress a bit early but it was a funny memory

Cancel - Our outfits are so expensive and we'll have worked hard to make our faces look nice. Not a chance we'd ruin them! Plus, I want that cake in my mouth, not on my face. Smiley laugh

They did a survey a few years ago with couples that were still married and those that were divorced and they found out that the majority of the divorced couples had a “hostile” cake cutting at their wedding.
