Honestly, matching bridesmaids dresses just aren’t for me. My fiancé and I, when we picked out our theme, decided to do a cosplay theme. We obviously know that not everyone in our family will do it, but we are hoping at least our friends will. So, we told everyone it was basically an option to go with the traditional dress or they could cosplay as their favorite character from a video game, D&D, anime, etc. Meanwhile, we told the guests to dress up in dresses and such, or to join in the fun!

I like the matching look. It just looks so classic and pretty. The treasured bridesmaids all standing together as one with the bride. I'll definitely have all my maids in the same type of dress.

Cancel. I let the girls pick their own style of dress from Azazie! We had different colors for the MOHs vs. the bridesmaids.

Matching bridesmaids dresses wouldn’t exactly work for my theme wedding. We are doing a cosplay wedding, so we told the wedding party to dress up as their favorite character from shows, video games, etc. that they like. I did give two of my bridesmaids the option of wearing dresses and told them where I got my wedding dress, but that’s because they are kind of confused by the entire idea because they aren’t nerds like my fiancé, me, and the rest of my family.

Same color, length, and material for uniformity. However, I let them choose the style (neckline, sleeves, etc.)

As long as they are the same length or colour, I think it’s oaky to not be the same style. There are special times when it’s okay to have various shades of one colour- but not a rainbow look imo.

I’m a bit torn. I do like the uniformity of one dress, but I’m skeptical we can find one everyone will love and feel confident in. If that’s the case, it’s probably better to do different dresses in the same color and length.

Having thought about it yet, but I think I'm going to get rid of this tradition. I have 4 in my bridal party and they're all different sizes so I want them to have what's comfortable for them.. My MOH will have a different color than my bridesmaids. Their dresses will be the same color but different dresses.

Totally in agreement. One dress does not look good on every body type.

Cancel. The cookie cutter look leaves no room for their personality to shine. Who wants to be in the same dress?

Organized mismatch for the win. Different shades of seaglass/cornflower/fog/sky colors from Kennedy Blue!
