What's your vote on parent dances? Keep or cancel?

I think this is nice one to keep, but we won't be doing it. We both love music, but not dancing... and certainly not in front of others.

I’d love to cancel this one but my parents want it. I’d prefer not to. I’m not terribly close to my dad. We just don’t have that kind of relationship. It’s going to be awkward to say the least since we have NeVER dances together ever but my mom insists so we’re keeping this tradition.

My father is deceased, so my son will be walking me down the aisle and my FH's parent's are also deceased. We haven't really thought about this but my son or one of my Uncle's may do the traditional dance with me.

Cancel. But I love watching other brides and grooms dance with their parents. Mike and I no longer have ours, but I think we would keep the tradition if they were still here for their sakes and not ours.

He will have a dance with his mom. I won’t have a father daughter dance because I want a special dance with my children.

Im totally for keeping this one but in some cases (like mine) this could be a sticky situation. So we are not doing it.

Cancel. My father passed when I was young and my fiancé isn’t on the best terms with his mother at this moment in time. Overall I’d be happy if everyone just danced as they liked when they liked. That being said I love to dance and would dance with everyone lol

Keep, I think it's so sweet to see brides/grooms dance with their parents. I wish my dad were still alive to dance with me on my wedding day

Cancel. I’m going to make time to dance with both my mom and my dad throughout the night but the attention definitely doesn’t need to be on us when we do it.

My dad passed away 18 years ago. I offered to dance with my mother, but she has advanced Parkinson's and doesn't feel comfortable dancing in front of people. We will most likely dance with his parents but don't feel it necessary to make an announcement to dance with them.

That’s one tradition that I will be definitely keeping, I have always looked forward to my dad walking me down the aisle and the father- daughter dance.

I'm definitely keeping this one. I'm letting my dad choose the song and I'm scared lol. We've also decided to perform a poem that each of us wrote about our relationship and blend it together.
