Kids at a Vegas wedding?

Tashay, on May 5, 2016 at 1:55 AM Posted in Planning 0 7

My fiancé and I are considering tying the knot in Vegas. So far, we've thought of the idea of having the ceremony at Juno Garden in Caesars Palace. I have fallen in love with overall look and atmosphere. And it's perfect since I only want a small intimate ceremony. My only concern is that I have a 2 year old son and I always imagined him being present at our wedding. However, I have been to Vegas several times and it isn't kid friendly. I wouldn't want to put him in an inappropriate environment. Has anyone else ever have their children involved in a Vegas wedding? Any tips?

I actually think it's totally fine. We're also getting married in Vegas and bringing my 10 year old step son. His grandparents will be there and he will stay with them during the evenings and what not, to avoid exposing him to anything inappropriate. I went for the first time at 5 and the second time at 15 and had a blast both times, doing a lot of "kid friendly" activities.

I am getting married in Ceasars (Venus garden). I love the gardens there... I say do it! Vegas is actually a lot more kid friendly than people assume Smiley smile

Hi Tashay, welcome to WW! Make sure to upload a picture for your avatar (instead of the default icons) so that we can get to know you and tell you apart from all the other posters. You can do this on a desktop computer or a mobile browser (just not on the app) under My Settings and Profile and Privacy Settings.

Your venue looks gorgeous!!! I think you'll be totally fine having your son there.

To be honest, I felt like Vegas was more of a family destination than this wild party destination lol. I was really surprised when I went.

I guess because the clubs are hidden inside casinos and such, I never saw anyone walking around outside being crazy or drunk. I saw A LOT of families. I'd bring my kid!

I've taken kids to Vegas and it is actually very kid friendly. Obviously there are a lot of things not for kids too. I would take him.

Vegas is super kid friendly! Your child should def be by your side. There are pools, children's areas, kid oriented shows. Have a blast!

I am super relieved regarding bringing my four year old to my Vegas destination wedding. I wasn’t going to at first but I can’t imagine getting married and not having him there. My younger brother plans to watch him in the evenings bc he is nineteen and may not be allowed in casinos and clubs. We plan to do family / kid friendly excursions during the day.
