Kissing Game Alternatives

Kyle, on August 27, 2018 at 9:32 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 7
With our wedding coming up we would like to put a different spin on the whole clinking of glasses, it just gets old quick and we would like to involve our guests a little more. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

I have never seen people clink glasses. No one did at my wedding.

Are you not having dancing at the wedding? That's when people get involved.

It must be an up north thing then! it starts as soon as everyone sits, and were all for kissing, but I've been to weddings that the clinking of glass and spoons doesn't stop. ive only seen alternatives like sing us a love song, or share a memory of us for a kiss, I would rather make it a little more game like I guess!

My sister’s DJ came up with something fun at her wedding. If people wanted the bride and groom to kiss the entire table had to start singing a song that had the word love in it. The DJ would then have to find the song and play a few bars of it and then they would kiss. Everyone really got into it and would try to come up with obscure songs to stump the DJ. It was so much fun and have some hilarious memories of the lengths that people would go to.

We are big nerds so we used a d20 dice. After the welcome speech we explained the rules. Roll a 11-20 we will kiss, roll a 1-10 they have to kiss someone else. It was hilarious. My grandma was getting lots of kisses.

I have not heard the clinking of the glasses in years and years at weddings, I honestly didn't think this was even a thing anymore. I am certainly not kissing on demand at our wedding. I am also hoping that everyone will be too busy at the reception dancing & having a great time to do this.

I attend a wedding where they did not want to be kissing all night, so the dj announced at the beginning of the night that he had a fishbowl with all of the married couples names in it and if there was any of that going on they would draw a couple from the bowl to "show them how it's done" before they would kiss. They only had a few kisses through the night.

Another wedding, the couple was golfers so they had one of those putting mats by the DJ and he would announce anytime anyone got a hole in one and they would kiss then.
