Kitchen Pan Scam? No.

Lauren, on July 24, 2017 at 4:15 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 71

I was invited to a Kitchen Charm event with my fiance for attending the bridal show a few Sundays ago. Well, I received a text about attendance and I thought " Why not?, if I get anything free its worth it !" I was told we would be getting free gifts to just be there for a 90 minute showing of their cookware. By the end, I signed a contract. It had a 50 year warranty and they're products were amazing. We're waiting on them to arrive in the mail. It was not a scam and many people still got free gifts just for showing up. This was in Chattanooga, Tn by the way. I'm super excited !!!

What did you sign a contract for if it's free?

How much were they? And why do you need to sign a contract for cookware?

We signed for the pans, we decided to get a monthly budget instead of pay in whole. So tech its prob not a contracf per say but a form to show who made the purchase and how long we should pay for the products. Its helps build our credit as well they mentioned.

So you financed a set of pans?

I'm failing to see how this isn't scammy. You can get nice cookware that you don't need to buy on a payment plan.

Yeah financing pans just sounds a little sketch to me. By the time you are done paying it off the built in interest will probably have compounded. Not sure this was such a good idea there OP.

I suppose you could look at it that way, its like making a payment on a car. We gave 150$ that night for the up front costs then will be paying 50$ a month for the first 6 months. Then 80$ so forth until paid. They aren't cheap pans by no means.

I mean you could have just registered for a set of pans instead of financing them.

More than $450 for pots and pans from a brand called "Kitchen Charm"?

    I really just can't.

They were expensive but they had a 50 year warranty so if anything we wouldn't ever have to replace them again. Plus you can use them as a registry so most people get it paid within a year.

Depends on how much you want. We got an 8 peice set with a huge knife set and it was 1,950

Man, that is a lot for an off band. I have Calphalon professional grade pans and paid that much.

I agree with Kate on this one.

I can't believe anyone would make payments on PANS. That's ridiculous.

Holy shit. Scammed. Go look anywhere else for a set that would be that price and compare. If they were THAT good they wouldn't have to recruit people to watch their presentation
