I was invited to a Kitchen Charm event with my fiance for attending the bridal show a few Sundays ago. Well, I received a text about attendance and I thought " Why not?, if I get anything free its worth it !" I was told we would be getting free gifts to just be there for a 90 minute showing of their cookware. By the end, I signed a contract. It had a 50 year warranty and they're products were amazing. We're waiting on them to arrive in the mail. It was not a scam and many people still got free gifts just for showing up. This was in Chattanooga, Tn by the way. I'm super excited !!!

    Whoa!!! That is CRAZY expensive!!!

If you go on Williams-Sonoma right now and look at super expensive name-brand sets of pots and pans all of them are cheaper (except for the Mauviel Copper 12 piece set, because it's all copper - and it's on sale for $1900 so it's the same cost as whatever these are made of).

Definitely check all of the fine print on the rest of your prizes, and check out the other companies this company also goes by (Table Charm and Dinner 4 Two).

It also sounds like you *have* to preheat the pots and pans first before cooking anything or they'll damage, and that they don't like high heat ever.

I'm pretty sure the OP works for the company. This is totally in line with their marketing techniques; their reviews are constantly being taken down for being planted by their PR company. but for those who are curious:

This is a report from an unaffiliated blogger.

If I have to sign a contract to finance pots and pans because they are almost $2000, they better come with an assistant to cook and clean them. Just saying....

We went to one of these "cooking demonstrations" after a bridal show. FH and I were in tears laughing the whole time as he read the pricing. Like how crazy do we look? They seriously have packages for $5k for pots pans and cutlery. We took our "free" gift ( 2 days 3 nights at a Viva Wyndham resort in DR or Mexico if you pay $178 taxes) and jetted!

Sorry OP! You got hosed Tommy!

People like OP are exactly why companies like this are even marginally successful to begin with. Predators.

I have gone to several timeshare/sales pitches, but my cheap ass is good at saying no. I have gotten several free flights places, I just had to stay at a partner hotel, which wasn't any more expensive than I would have paid anyways

You could have paid for your own trip instead of over paying for shitty pans. Wtf.

Holy shit....what did you do???? You know they could just keep charging you, right? What pans on earth are worth that much? If they aren't calphalon, you got ripped off. How many pans did you get... this is DEFINITELY a scam.

    1) If @OP is a legit Kitchen Charm customer: Do you really think this company will be around for 50 years to uphold its purported warranty?

    2) If this is some so-called guerrilla marketing, I really hope the PR firm involved is using @OP's crap grammar only for folksy effect.

On that note, I was told I won a 3 day 2-night trip to the Bahamas if I just go to this showcase on their pans. No obligation to buy... it sounded fishy! Thoughts?

We went to one these (didn't purchase the cookware). Used the JVL gift card for FH and got him 2 tungsten rings. Haven't used any of the other stuff we received and probably never will.

You bought a $1950.00 pan set and expect them to be good from an unknown company? Lol Comical Also, the 50 year warranty is useless when the company will probably be long gone in a year or two.
