Kleinfeld's Pop-up Shop in Secaucus

Rebecca, on January 8, 2019 at 9:36 PM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 6
I want to give my fellow brides a MAJOR HEAD'S UP.
There is a Kleinfeld's Pop-Up Shop in Secaucus. It started last Thursday and goes through this Sunday.
Dresses START at $199. Nothing is over $900 for the sale dresses, there are $1300 dresses for the canceled/brand-new ones.

GO. GO GO GO GO GO if you need a dress. I went today with 3 friends - I've been engaged for all of a week - and with the help of a FANTASTIC human by the name of Laura (ask for her, she's Magic), found the dress that made my friends cry, made me cry, made Laura cry... and I got it for $199. ...It retails for $2000.

Honestly, if you go on a weekday, it's fairly quiet. We were in and out in roughly 2 hours.

I needed to get my dress asap, as we're aiming for August of *this* year. Thought I'd give it a shot and ... well, I hadn't even thought of a dress budget, but at $199, I no longer need one.
(Ask for Laura. Seriously. I FB friended her, she was so amazing and kind.)

Holy moly, that's super awesome, Rebecca!! Welcome to WeddingWire and thanks for the heads up!!! What style of dress did you get? Is it what you imagined you'd wear on your wedding day?

I got an A-line Maggie Sottero with a LOT more detailing than I ever expected to get. It's actually strapless and I'm going to have to put on cap sleeves (I never feel comfortable in strapless). But I do love Maggie dresses, and Laura went out of her way to find them all for me.

When I tried this one on, I said, "oh, I'm going to like this more than I want, aren't I?"

Well, then my friend started to get teary eyed looking at me, and then they proverbially "jacked me up", and we experimented with what cap sleeves would look like, and my other friends started to get teary eyed...

And then we all cried and I tried it out with FH's practice dagger (long story, we're having a swordfight wedding), and I could MOVE and look amazing in it, and it's got a gorgeous train for the big church we're having the ceremony at....

And it was 90% off original price.

    So.

I look like Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream crossed with Eowyn in Lord of the Rings.

I found out because I follow Kleinfeld’s on Instagram and they posted about the sale there. I’m not sure if there will be another this year but looking online, it seems they used to do two per year in Brooklyn. This was the first year they did the Pop-Up in NJ so perhaps they are changing it up? They also have a sample studio in NYC that is open year round with reduced prices but it is my understanding that the sales have better prices.

    Hope that helps!

I had created an account in anticipation of getting engaged some time ago. I got an email about it a few weeks before FH proposed, so I was primed to go as soon as he asked.

The pop up sale seems to be a fairly new thing.
