So I'm originally from NC but live in Kentucky, planning our wedding for next September in the Wrightville Beach area. I need help🤦🏾 There's so much to do. Luckily, a few things are off my list, I found a dress for me and I've found bridesmaid dresses. I'm looking at venues to host the ceremony and reception but waiting on emails and callbacks have been a major issue. We are planning to be in NC in November and would like to narrow our choices to about 3 places but it's so hard. I guess I just needed to vent. Plus my FH is a groomzilla, who has all these ideas and forgets we're on a serious budget.

    You sound like you are in a good position for your wedding planning. If you feel like you are waiting a long time to hear back from venues that you are interested in, you could always send a follow-up email or even call them on the phone to see if there is a wedding coordinator there that you could speak to.

    Since you mentioned that you are trying to stick strictly to your budget, you could check out the WeddingWire Budget Tracker. It helps you breakdown your entire budget into different vendors and offers suggested costs for each. Seeing your budget broken down like this might help your FH visualize your budget more clearly.

    Hi there! We are getting married at Wrightsville Manor in Wilmington, so very close to Wrightsville beach (: the venue is magnificent you should check it out! We are also planning a destination wedding and they make it so easy!

    Thanks Izzy. I'm actually looking at the Holiday Resort at Wrightsville Beach and having the actual ceremony on the beach. It's so exciting. Congrats to you also.
