We're exactly 5 months away from our big day, and our STD's just arrived today. We opted for postcards through Vistaprint instead of traditional cards, as postcards were less than half of the cost of traditional cards. I really want to print the addresses right on the postcard, but I've gotten frustrated trying to figure it out or finding a template. So, now we're leaning towards printing the addresses on labels and sticking them on the postcard. Is this acceptable? Or should it be more personalized by handwriting each one?

Hand-written. That's how social correspondence is done.

We handwrote the addresses for the STDs and it was exhausting. So for the invites I made labels at work and we just stuck those on. Way easier.

    Labels offer a cleaner aesthetic.

This is something people won't remember or keep. I hand wrote mine and didn't think twice about it. My handwriting is decent and very legible, but not calligraphy. I had a calligrapher do other things for the wedding and would have loved to blow my budget on envelope calligraphy, but they got where they needed to go so it was fine.

I had postcards for STDs too and I wrote the addresses because I couldn't find a label that would fit

Ours were printed on the envelope when we ordered our STDs from Wedding Paper Divas.

Buy clear labels and use a script font.

I don't like labels- I learned calligraphy and hand wrote my envelopes for the std and will do it for the invitations.

I wrote the addresses on my postcard STDs in my normal cursive handwriting. I had around 55 to do and it only took me around two hours over two sittings. I have clear labels, but not sure if I'll use them for the invitations when the time comes.

Labels are perfectly fine in my opinion especially if they are the clear back. Writing all of them will just hurt your hand in the long run.

We printed out address labels for our STDs. Those can be informal, but we are getting printed calligraphy for the wedding envelopes.

I did clear labels for STDs but would never do them for invites. That just looks cheap to me. I did what MFB suggested and used Minted. They printed the address with a gorgeous floral that matched our invites.
