I’m grateful that my husband knows his way around the kitchen! Tonight, he made chicken pot pie. Over the weekend, it was broiled halibut, mini pizzas, and whole wheat pancakes. Tomorrow, he’s making chili and cornbread. It’s hard sometimes, but It m definitely trying not to gain marriage weight....

My husband will try lol he can grill but I have to do the prep for him. He is surprisingly very good at breakfast and I am not. I could not make eggs and bacon to save my life, but I'm really good at pancakes, french toast, etc. I make our lunches and dinner because it's much easier and works for us. He does crack up when I try to make breakfast, but I told him coming into this to NEVER expect breakfast in bed unless he's okay with it coming from a restaurant or without a main dish.

We cook together. It is one of our favorite pastimes. Very rarely does only one of us make a meal. We both really like to try new things, and we really like to eat. We started dating in high school so we have learned most of our skills together. I am definitely the better baker, and he is better at frying things. My parents live with us, so on weekends when we are all home in the evening, my mom cooks with us. It is so much fun and a really great bonding experience.

Yes man is African and the food is so good. I love to cook as well but it’s nice to have a break from time to time.

My husband grew up in a Hispanic household where his mom did everything for the family - cooking, cleaning, laundry, the works! (She is a superwoman!) But, because of that, my husband never learned how to cook full meals for himself, and doesn't know how to make the delicious traditional meals that I was hoping he would be able to make for me! LOL. So, now my husband and I are both learning from his mom on how to cook the traditional Mexican dishes that we both love to eat.

Yes, he cooks mexican / italian food bc that's what he was taught to make and it's sooo good. He can also glance at a recipe I find and make whatever it is taste better than I even thought it would, lol. He is teaching me his ways but I definitely am not a great cook

Looks like many men is “spoiled” from being pampered as a kid. This is a great reminder to all of us, if we raise a son, he too has to help out in the kitchen like it’s normal.

Our 22 yo son can cook simple food because he prefer to eat simple food, where I consider my dh “can cook” by warming up food from stores 🤣

Yes! It's actually a thing we love doing together. We are both big time foodies and usually every weekend we try making something new and complex together. We usually share cooking duties - like he will chop while I work on another part of the dish.

I got lucky my fiancé knows his way around the kitchen. On our second date he made me dinner. I cook most nights because he works later but on his days off he cooks. And he is in charge of grilling.
