Ok so I am back and forth with center piece ideas... at first I made a centerpiece with a chandelier from michaels and made balls of fake flowers on the sides.. I decided I didn't like it anymore.. so I went to the florist to start getting prices for a small bouquet.. they still in my area start at $50 a table and I hate to blow all that money on something that gets thrown out.. I'm brainstorming and I love the ikea borrby lanterns.. the 11" ones are only 7.99 each ... has anyone made a sample lantern center piece yet or have ideas?

I also asked florist how much for ring of flowers around the lantern because I think that will also give a nice look.. and its still about the same price..

I got my lanterns from Pier1. They were on sale and I got a coupon! My florist will fill them with flowers having them spill out of the open door. She's charging $35 for this. I'll have tea lights surrounding the lantern as well. Let me find my inspo pic and I'll add it.

My lanterns are a distressed white and my flowers will be burgundy dahlias and peach roses with eucalyptus.

I haven't made one but I went to my florist yesterday and he suggested it. He said they are really in right now. Not my style though. He wanted $60 a table for them too, so $7.99 is awesome!

Haha @Erica R we are doing DIY fake pumpkin/led candle/fake leaves centerpieces and I bought the entire stock of those pumpkins from my local Michaels haha. Can't believe they weren't getting more and it's still not even mid August!

Here are a few of mine so far. I'm doing LED candles with fall colored flowers. Pictures not that great, but you get the idea. It's costing me less than $15 a lantern.

We're also doing lanterns, but totally mix and match! We also wanted to cut down our floral bill by doing this, and so far I bought five at Goodwill the other day for $24! And I will likely be purchasing some from Ikea and some from Pier 1 Imports' clearance section to get the total amount I need!
