Hey ya'll! I'm curious how (&if) anyone here has done a DIY wedding here in Las Vegas. I'm a local and DO NOT want to do a drive thru chapel or anything on the strip, for that matter. I'm curious about estates I may be able to rent, with large backyards. Or even certain locations, for example I'm currently investigating Floyd Lamb Park. Something that doesn't scream Vegas, dying shrubbery, or ghetto last minute backyard wedding preferred! We are ideally trying to accommodate 20 guests, need somewhere where we are obviously allowed to hold an event, and (not a must) but potentially be able to hold the ceremony AND reception in the same place. I appreciate the input & advice!

    Maybe something in Henderson? I was originally thinking about doing lake Las Vegas. They have several options. Or a golf course is always classy. I went to one at Wedgwood and it was beautiful. I also liked chimera. They just did a beautiful new addition there!

    I don't know any estates or chateaus here, that would have been a fun idea. Maybe you can find an airbnb that will allow it? I'm sure with an extra deposit someone would let you. I had a friend who's neighbor rented his house for parties, so I'm sure there is someone that will allow weddings.

    Floyd Lamb Park is lovely. Other locations: the Spring Mountain Ranch, the Gilcrease Orchard, and the Historic Fifth Street School.

    Hi Samantha,

    We are getting married at Floyd Lamb Park in 9 weeks! Its absolutely beautiful (As you probably already know!) They aren't expensive, but you do have to do everything yourself (TOTAL DIY) I'm super excited and am counting the days till the wedding. I didn't want the "Vegas wedding" either. Be sure to include parking in your budget, as each car has to pay to enter (We are paying for our guests entry). If you decide on Floyd Lamb and need suggestions, feel free to message me!

    Thanks for all the advice, everyone! Ultimately I think we are breaking down and doing bear’s best. The package is so inclusive that it helps a lot. But I think we are definitely going to take engagement pics at Floyd lamb. It’s so pretty there!
