Las Vegas Wedding Transportation

Kathrina, on February 3, 2022 at 10:41 PM Posted in Planning 1 2
Hi ladies! I am getting married in Las Vegas. I moved with my fiance a few years ago from the East Coast, so 70% of our guestlist will be out of town and the rest locals. Since it's a destination wedding for many guests, we are deciding not to do a room block except for our wedding party to keep everyone together. It's a vacation for most guests, so they want to stay on the Strip. Since we are not offering the room block and people are staying all over the Strip, should we offer transportation to our venue? Our venue is off the Strip at a country club 20 minutes away. I'm not even sure how we could offer transportation if people won't be staying at the same place. Would it be rude not to come up with an alternative? Or do people have ideas? Appreciate any advice!

If you think most people are staying on the strip you could offer a limo bus to drop off / pick up at two different hotels or at a monorail stop. The monorail covers most everything. Let people know what you are offering and they will plan accordingly.

Maybe you could offer Uber/Lyft codes instead? You can create X number of codes worth up to Y dollars and set a time limit and I think also a pick-up/drop-off radius (so people don't use them for non-wedding transportation reasons) - both companies have fare estimators on their websites where you can see the one-way cost from, say a hotel in the middle of the strip, to your venue. I went to Vegas a couple years ago and didn't bother renting a car (between rental car rates and parking fees at the hotels on the strip, def not worth) so offering Uber/Lyft codes would be a nice gesture!
