Lashes

Hey! I am debating on whether to get a lash lift or lash extensions for my wedding day. I’d love to hear others’ thoughts/experiences as well as the pros/cons of each. Thanks so much!!

I got lash extensions and hated them 😬 they ruined my real lashes and the upkeep and having to be careful when I slept, showered, and washed my face was too much for me. I do have friends that love them though!

I get lash extensions and love them! I do use Latisse as well to keep my lashes from falling off from the weight of the extensions.

They didn’t bother me at all during my wedding, however, I have been getting extensions for 10 years now (I would take breaks every now and then).

Neither one. I don’t want to touch my natural lashes. It’s long and curled up enough. However, I want a thicker make up for my special day, so I decided to use Ardell fake lashes.

I’ve never had a lash lift/extensions, but I’m uneasy at the thought of touching my real lashes. I’m going for false lashes on the big day to capture my makeup better in photos!

I bought a lash serum (Grande) at Sephora. I put it on every night before bed and I feel like my lashes are fuller and longer.

I will be getting lashes on the wedding day (my make up artist does them flawlessly) but I use a lash serum every night for a natural boost and it works SOOO well. The one I use is called “woolash” and it’s been super successful so far!

I had lash extensions done for my engagement photos and absolutely fell in love with them! I've been getting them done ever since and will have them for the wedding. I like the extensions because you can choose how long and full you want. I've never been a fan of false lashes so I'm glad I finally tried out the extensions! You do need to fill them sometime between 2-4 weeks. I'd suggest having them done at least month or so in advance to make sure you like them and then have them filled the week of the wedding. You can always change what you want too so that isn't a problem! Yes, it's a little hard to get used to at first with showering, washing your face, sleeping, etc. But they are worth it. Satin pillow cases do help with sleeping. I've also never had any issues with them ruining my lashes but of course every one reacts differently. If you're only going to have them for the wedding then I say go for it! I recommend you have the lash tech do a test with the glue beforehand to make sure it doesn't irritate your eyes! Oh, and if you get them, remember to brush them daily! 😊

I would say lash lift! That’s what I have gotten before and it made my lashes look so full and long.

I’ve been regularly getting lash extensions since 2007. So, obviously I love them (and hate not having them during this pandemic). Be sure to go to a very reputable salon.

I’ve been getting lash extensions for the last 4 years and obsessed with them. It’s hard to stop getting them once you start though, I feel like I look so tired without them. The place I got in pretty affordable and I consider it my treat to myself every few weeks as you have to lay still for an hour with your eyes closed. So no one can bother you. I usually take a nap but it’s my me time.

I did falsies. They stayed on ALl night. One of my bridesmaids did a trial run with extensions and they looked horrible and it scared the life out if me lol. Personally that's why I chose falsies and I actually use the brand I used on my wedding day to this day. I love them.

I just ordered the Lashify system because I heard great things. It’s like diy lash extensions. Since my wedding is coming up soon and places are closed due to Covid-19 I’m giving it a try. It’s going to be here tomorrow so I’ll let you know!
