Last anniversary before getting married

Amoreena , on June 20, 2018 at 10:46 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 10
So my FH and I are celebrating our last anniversary of dating before we get married. I don’t know if I should go a little extra this year then last. What did you do on your last anniversary before getting hitched?

Our dating anniversary will become our wedding anniversary (because Jan 26th fell on a Saturday) so this past January our anniversary was also our one year mark away from our wedding. We went to a really fancy expensive restaurant and got dressed up and just were happy to celebrate our anniversary and got excited about being at the year mark.

So are we! I go back and forth splurge on something big or just do a nice dinner and put the money towards our honeymoon

We just had our last anniversary this past May and FH was busy working. We didn't anything special, we both had to work and FH had to work his side job. He does lawn care and handyman work on the side and this is the busiest time of year for him.

The only thing I did when I got home is I made sure that his favorite dinner was ready for him when he got home.

We also didn't do much because we are really saving our money and trying to buy a house. So we didn't do anything crazy so we could save money!

I didn't think to much about it being our last before we were married! I was just thinking how soon I will be his wife!

Hey, Amoreena! How exciting! Can you tell me a little bit about The Story of you and your FH? Maybe recreating your first date ever or your first anniversary? I'm not sure of your budget, but if you're not looking to splurge, there are tons of ways to get creative! Smiley laugh

We went smaller than normal this year for financial reasons as the wedding is kicking my bank accounts a$$ lol. But it was still an amazing night with the best man on earth 😍

We always celebrated our dating anniversary Oct 18 the same way every year, by going back to where it all started. So we did just that last October 18th & I would not have changed it ....I am sure we will continue to do it every October 18th forever, because it's something we love to do!

Our dating anniversary will be the same as our wedding one. We want it to be special, but because we still have to pay for the wedding we are just going to take a small weekend getaway..nothing big.

I met him when I was 15 and we reconnected when I turned 18 and we’ve been together ever since he did ask me to be his gf at the beach so maybe a date at the beach?

Ok, so I took a look at your profile and your plans, venues, and color schemes sound perfect!

I think you hit the nail on the head with your last dating anniversary- what about doing a beach picnic? Depending on your preferences (and local alcohol laws), a bottle of wine and the sound of crashing waves would be so romantic! Smiley love
