Last Dance Songs?

Lisa, on July 22, 2022 at 9:07 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 32
The very last song that my fiance and I need to decide on for our DJ is our last dance song! What are you playing for the last song of the evening?

For us the last dance definitely has to be Last Dance by Donna summer Smiley heart

    Some other fun ones are:

I ve Had the Time of My Life

    Closing TIme

    We Are Young

    Best Day of My Life

    Send Me On My Way

    Chasing Cars

This Will be an Everlasting Love

    December, 1963

The Best is Yet to Come

    Time After Time

What is the song you are using to get everyone of the dance floor?

I didn't think of a last song. I am going to discuss this with my FH 💜

Our last dance was "I've had the time of my life". One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite movies 😍

Thank you for this list!! Super helpful!

As for the song to get everyone on the dance floor, we're letting our DJ handle that. We're doing a reverse anniversary dance, and then right from there, our DJ will go into open dancing (since everyone will already be on the dance floor), and will hopefully play something to keep everyone on the dance floor.

We hadn't thought of one either, I never really realized that it was something I'd need to think of, until we were filling out the song request form for our DJ. Lots of details to cover!

Our last song was Beat Shot by Jimmie Allen. We started off dancing as just the two of us then invited everyone onto the dance floor.

We did a private last song - a Grow Old With You cover (as the first movie we watch together was The Wedding Singer).

You're welcome, there are a lot of options. Is there a music genre or a speed (fast or slow) that you have in mind for the last dance that may help narrow it down for you. Good luck!

The last song we'll have for everyone is Shut Up And Dance by Walk The Moon (it was playing in the car when FH and I were driving back from our first date, and it seemed appropriate for the last group dance). Then we're going to have our DJ ask guests to head out to get ready for our send-off, and once they're cleared out we're going to have a private last dance. I had the first dance song picked out forever, so I let FH pick our private last dance song.

We did "Save the Last Dance" by Michael Buble, and then "Bye Bye Bye" to send people out to the sparkler sendoff.

Depends on the vibe you're going for. But this list https://www.brides.com/wedding-last-dance-songs-4774529 has some good suggestions!

Ours is kind of niche. We're getting married on December 30, so I want our last song to be "What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?"

My fiance wants a fast/high-energy song to end the night on a high note (his comparison is the grand finale at a fireworks show), though I'm thinking more of a medium energy. I honestly don't have too much of a preference, but we can't seem to find the "right" song lol.
