Last Dating Anniversary -- What did y'all do?

So our last dating anniversary is coming up on the 16th and that got me wondering -- did you guys do anything special on the last dating anniversary before the wedding? Trying to think of a nice gift to get him but he is so hard to shop for!

We got engaged! Smiley smile and went out to a very nice restaurant that his grandparents used to go to for every big anniversary.

Our last dating one was long before the wedding (Nov 5th, wedding Oct 10th) and we cooked a nice dinner at home since we were saving for the wedding. Then after the wedding we inadvertently celebrated our dating anniversary cuz out back home reception (destination wedding) was Nov 7th!

We've only celebrated one dating anniversary together, before we got engaged. We will be married before our next one so no longer a need to celebrate it!

We do the same thing and the same place every year that we did on our first date, which was go the brewery for a drink and the restaurant for dinner. Smiley smile

Our last dating anniversary was last week, 12 years. FH bought me flowers and perfume (the one I will be wearing on our wedding day) and we spent the entire weekend doing things we love. I took FH to his favorite restaurant and we practiced dancing for our first dance in our living room.

I was in the hospital on our last one. But he surprised me with sushi and a bunch of Ole Miss stuff, and a Vera Bradley wedding bag and Vera Bradley journal.

We plan to still celebrate our dating anniversary after being married (actually we've already had one since the wedding). For some reason we got a ton of shit from his family even before the wedding for celebrating it ("It's not like it's a wedding anniversary, why does it even matter?") which really pissed me off. They still think it's really stupid that I gave him a super nice watch for our 1 year dating anniversary but I knew early on that we would be together long term and wanted to give him something he would keep for a long time. Heck, I found a good deal so I actually purchased that watch about 3 months in (we were already talking marriage so I didn't think it was likely we were going to break up anytime soon). For us it's the anniversary of both dating and the day we met because we were set up so we think it's doubly special. We never do very much, just go out to the restaurant where we had that first date and maybe to a movie or something. Some people may think the dating anniversary doesn't matter once you get married but to us it's important to celebrate the day you first came together.

I think we went out to dinner (that so sad I don't remember because it was only in January)

Edit: now I remember! We didn't do anything! He was in Singapore for work! Probably why it wasn't too memorable. Lol

Nothing at all to be honest. We have spent too much money on the wedding between this year and last year :-)

I love it when @O&S shows her sensitive side Smiley smile

We decided to stop celebrating after we got married except for this year because it will be our 10th year together. So crazy.

Ha, our five years dating anniversary is our moving day, so we're having pizza and beer with our helpers. But I think we're having a nice dinner out the night before.

We always go on a long weekend somwhere for our anniversary weekend, but we actually skipped it last year and saved the money for our wedding. Looking forward to restarting the tradition after our wedding! We are getting married just a week before our "date-iversary" so our mini moon will be on the same weekend.
