Dedicated August 2015

last minute (39 days) advice :)

mrsrussell, on July 7, 2015 at 4:11 PM Posted in Married Life 0 8

We have 39 days until our wedding, We have some things to finish but we are doing good. For the last few weeks i have been carrying a notebook and writing down every little thing i think that we need or needs done for our wedding. Our wedding and reception is in the same town we live in so we wont have to travel. I just was wondering what is something you wish you would of done, or wish you wouldnt of done. Is there something you wish you would of brought with you or forgot to bring with you? Is there anything you would change about your wedding? Anything you would warn a future bride about?

Just be sure and bring the wedding license, and everything will be fine.

Schedule time to eat, and make a plan for what you're going to eat! H and I got into a fight on our wedding day because I neglected to feed myself.

This is a good post. I'm traveling for mine, so I fear I will forget something.

@Lady O. -- I can definitely see that same scenario in my future. I always forget to eat when I'm stressed or excited (and I'll be both come wedding day, so forget it!), and then feel sick and FH gets mad. Our caterer already said they keep a plate of apps for us at our sweetheart table, so we can snack as soon as we're done taking pics at cocktail hour (since we'll miss most of the food then). I hope it works lol

With all that went down in my last 100 days, sometimes I felt like I was just getting started at around 40 days.

my wedding plans were very simple to carry out, and since I loved my venue the way it was I didn't do much of any decorating. so it's not like I was drowning in decorating duties or anything.

I guess If I could have changed on thing I should have done, that would have been to not decide to steam my dress one last time before putting it on. since even though I've steamed things 100 times, I managed to burn my arm.

so that was my dummy move- didn't hurt during the ceremony, but it turned out to be 3rd degree. not what one wants to do on their wedding day!

I made lists too and checked things off as I got closer. I actually was looking for stuff to do because I had so much nervous energy the 3 days prior to the wedding. The one thing I would change if I could go back and do it again is give ourselves a little more time before our flight out the next morning for our honeymoon. It was tough to get up at 4:30 and race to the airport. I would have liked a day to rest Smiley smile
