We are officially 2 weeks away from our wedding! What are some things that should be done? Food is already paid for, the officiant gets paid the day of, all hair and nail appointments are made, my baker will send out an invoice for the rest of payment the Wednesday before our wedding. Family is doing our photos and we won't be having a DJ. It's just a small backyard wedding with about 15 guest, so very informal. But I can't help but shake the feeling I'm forgetting something.

We are leaving to go on our honeymoon the day after and we have almost everything except a few things.

We got our marriage license last week!! I knew I forgotten to add something. We are staying in the USA for our honeymoon, going to Destin FL and neither of us have ever been so we are excited. I even went ahead and got sunscreen, beach towels, a bag, a tripod/selfie stick, masks, and aloe vera gel incase of sunburns. Plus not to mention the outfits I bought 3 dresses yesterday, I have quite a few pairs of shorts (I tend to over pack, but I like to have options) not including the shopping we will probably do there.
    I can't wait to show pictures ❤❤

Get all of your thank you cards and tips ready to go. We gave them to our day of coordinator the day before our wedding so we didn’t forget. You’re almost there!!

My FMIL is actually taking care of all the tips! I offered too but she insisted. We have small thank you favors for the day of. Our Thank you cards will go out after we get back from our honeymoon. Since it's family only coming the extra photo frames I bought I'm going to have a photo printed out of ALL of us and put in the extra frames and send out with the thank you cards since we will only need to send out 6.

    THE RINGS!

Just kidding - kind of. If you're exchanging rings, I highly recommend giving them a little inspection beforehand. Make sure there are no price tags left on them, and give them a little polish (or bring them to the jeweler they were purchased from for a nice shine.) It's one of those little things that people often forget in the hustle and bustle. Smiley smile

I had forgotten about those!! They have both been sitting in a box since we got them last year. It was this time last year we had to cancel our destination wedding so we just put them in the boxes. When I got my engagement ring back from being redipped I just thought I wasn't going to wear it until the day of our wedding, so I just put it in the box with my wedding band and because the jewelry store was having to close last year. They gave me a container of their solution that they use to clean stuff with so I'm going to see how well that cleans, and if it doesn't do very well I'm a try to run by the jewelry store that Thursday before wedding and just have everything cleaned. His ring I can't do anything with maybe just wipe it down with the cloth because it's tungsten or titanium one of the two I can't remember off the top of my head.

For tungsten or titanium, you can soak the ring in warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap, then simply dry it off with a soft cloth.

Thank you so much!!! It already stinks that our dates are wrong now in our rings. But at least it's something we can laugh about.

    YOUR MARRIAGE LICENSE!
I’m having a hard time sleeping. My mind won’t shut down! I’m only getting 4 hours of sleep a night- I’m exhausted!

We got those last week!!! Hope cool! Last year our date was 4/4/20, but covid changed that. Oddly enough I'm just wanting to sleep because whenever I go to sleep time goes by faster. There's days at work that we get pretty slow and I start thinking about it and then my anxiety gets up because that's just the kind of person that I am are there just feels like time slows down. I'm excited for our wedding but I'm also really excited for our honeymoon. This is the first trip that we've ever taken that wasn't with his mom, a grandma, kids. It's just the two of us for a week and I am ecstatic

Ohh that will be our 5 year dating anniversary!!! I bet that's going to be a blast, we are going to go to Destin Florida. Neither one of us have been so we wanted to pick a place that neither one of us have been yet, he's been married before and him and his ex-wife used to go to Panama City quite a bit with the family so he didn't want to go there.

When my fiancé & I got back together I told him I wanted to travel & see the world before I don’t want to see the world anymore. He knows when I start a conversation with “you know Dennis, I was thinking....” that means I’ve already booked us to go somewhere. We cruise a lot so we didn’t want to do that for our honeymoon. A coworker of his was telling us about the Sandal resorts, how much fun & affordable they are. I love that it’s all inclusive- food, activities, even alcohol. I booked us at Jamaica Ochi Rios for 7 nights, 1 bedroom honeymoon suite villa with a butler for $3550 (for both of us). Found 2 round trip first class airline tickets for $2240. I’m super excited about going!

That's amazing our condo in Florida was probably 2700 I can't remember off the top of my head but of course that's not all inclusive. Our oldest will be 18 in four years and then the youngest one will be 18 in 9 years so that will put us in our mid-40s I'm 32 almost 33 now and he just turned 35 in January. So once they're out of the house I wouldn't mind trying to travel or at least just be a little bit more spontaneous than what we are now.

EXACTLY! We have 5 kids between us but they’re all out of the house! Only have our cat that we’re responsible for! The freedom you get when they’re all out- it’s amazing! Don’t get me wrong, we love our kids & are very thankful to have them but ....

Congratulations! I know you are so excited! I would say making sure that you have enough food for whatever vendors you will have and also checking Covid restrictions for your honeymoon. Some places will only accept a certain type of covid test or will require you to quarantine! Make sure you know all of that ahead of time!

Congratulations! Destin is a beautiful place. My husband and I got married at Emerald Grande in Destin and had our minimoon there in January. You'll have so much fun there (and if you and your FH love seafood, you'll be in heaven!!) If you need any recommendations, just let me know. Don't forget your sunglasses!!

It's FL and they are for the most part fully open, no covid test required thankfully.

We are staying at Destin Gulfgate! He hates seafood, but I like it. We have a list of places to try, Donut Hole, the back porch, the Irish pub that the name has completely slipped my mind, American biscuit company. I want a good mimosa since I've never had one.
