My something old is probably going to be my underwear lol. The concept of something borrowed is to get it from someone who is in a long, happy marriage, you're supposed to be "borrowing" their luck. Maybe a parent, aunt, grandparent, a close friend? It could be jewelry, a veil, a piece of their gown, even nail polish.

I’m borrowing a pearl necklace from my stepmom. My dad and stepmom have been married 20 years and he bought it for their first anniversary. I guess that could be my something old, but I also have my moms bracelet from when she married my dad 30 years ago. They’re not married anymore but I don’t care it’s such a sweet little bracelet.

    Daughter’s detailsLast minute details 1My daughter’s:

Something old: the handkerchief given to her by her grandmother on her 1st communion day and the blue ring

Something new: the diamond necklace (in red box) given to her by her MIL on her wedding day

Something borrowed: the rosary beads she borrowed from me that her dad gifted me long ago

Something blue: the blue ring (in the red box) that her H gifted her on their wedding day (he had inherited it from his grandmother - every woman on his side has worn that ring on their wedding day for the past 3 generations!)

Sixpence in her shoe: a genuine sixpence dated the year her dad (my H) was born
