Last Name Jackson Wedding Hashtag

Just wanted to say hi to another SA bride! DH and I got married in SA last December. Where are you having your ceremony and reception?

We are using St. John Lutheran downtown for our ceremony and the Grand Promenade for our reception. I love downtown during Christmas with all of the lights on the river!

That will be beautiful and you can get some really great pictures in front of the Alamo :-)

We held our ceremony at the Little Church of La Villita and our reception was at Rio Plaza. The pictures turned out so pretty with all of the Christmas lights. Let me see if I have a picture I can upload.

ETA this is the only picture I have on my phone that shows the lights (and doesn't include DH - he prefers not to be on the internet). If you want any vendor recommendations, I would be happy to pass along the names of people I worked with.

OriginalKD, thank you!!! I would love suggestions for who did your cake and flowers. Also, where did you hold your rehearsal dinner if you had one? We are looking to do everything downtown since most everyone will be from out of town.

Bernadette - I used Eden's Echo for my flowers and Cathy Young for my cake. Cathy makes the most amazing yellow and chocolate cakes. I highly recommend setting up a tasting (free!). I loved working with Erin (the owner of Eden's Echo) and appreciated her efforts to execute my vision while offering ideas and ways to save money (reusing ceremony arrangements at the reception. I'm attaching a few pictures for you to see what they were able to execute for me. I'm on mobile so it'll be one at a time. ETA we held our rehearsal dinner at Luke on the Riverwalk. They have private dining space overlooking the lights.
