Last name

Glitzy, on May 24, 2019 at 6:41 PM Posted in Married Life 0 21
My FH and I are sending "save the dates". We need to include a return label. To save money we wanted to get a stamp. Is it suppost to have his first and last name and my last name too. Or does it need to have my future last name?? HELP !

We bought a stamp with both of our names on it-but just our first names. We will get a new stamp once we are married with our married last name

I bought address labels with just our first names on it to use for STDs and our invites since the actual wording had our last names.

We are doing just our first names.
I tried putting our last names on the label I picked out, but it wouldn't fit. So I said screw it. Amanda & Ryan. We're like Cher.

Unless you're last name is already the name, you use either your current last names or first names only.

There are cases where the last name is already the same (vow renewal, they eloped and it's a marriage celebration, coincidence because they both have the last name smith etc)

I got a customer stamp for return labels - life saver!! I did just his last name - no first names and I did not include my last name.

We bought one with just both of our first names and our address as we already live together. We did this so that we can continue to use it after we are married

We just did my name bc I was the one mailing them out. It should have one person's full address. If you live together then just address is to one of you, by choice. But Legally it should be mailed to your legal names at the moment. But just one of you. We picked me bc I was the one handling the guest list and mailing, but it's different for everyone.

P.S. I had a bunch of extra stickers I got with my name and address and used those. But Vistaprint has them for dirt cheap and you can personalize them.

My FSIL did “The Future Mr. & Mrs. Hislastname” I thought that way was cute, since your names will be on the STDs themselves.

We are using our current first and last names. I do like the Future Mr & Mrs idea though

I just used our first names. I think the post office only needs a last name if you are moving and need returned mail forwarded to a new address. After we are married we will get one with just our last name. I think the stamp I got was 15 bucks so having to spend another $15 after the wedding isn't really a big deal to me.

We did a stamp with only our first names so we would be able to continue to use it after the wedding.

I got stickers with both of our current names on them.
You'll want your name on the envelope to match whatever is on the mailbox

Our return address had our names as they are now. I wanted to avoid any confusion with some of my family not remembering my FH's last name.
