Last Song of your Reception

What song are you guys doing as the last song of your reception? I went to a wedding a few weeks ago where the last song was "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey. It's a great song to end to, but unfortunately it wasn't a dancing crowd, so the song fell flat. What are you guys thinking as your last...

We are doing I'll be by Edwin McCain. When we got engaged we were at the restaurant where we had our first date. Post proposal they brought out a desert and put this song on the jukebox so we thought it would be a fun tie in.

We didn't choose a last song, but DJ played one of my favorites on our play list - "You and Me" by Dave Matthews Band. That has always been sort of our song, but we didn't want to dance to something so slow during our first dance.

I'll always count it an amazing twist of fate that it was played last. I cried like a happy baby!

Mandigurl: We will definitely be playing "I'll be" at some point. I highly considered it for our first song lol.

We are using "Can I Have This Dance (for the rest of my life)?" by Ann Murray. It was myb(favorite) aunt and uncle's last song and I think its a lovely sentiment to end the night on.

Our DJ paired up "Don't Stop Believin" followed immediately by "Livin on a Prayer". Everyone was on the dance floor and it was a great way to end the night.

Mirrors by Justin Timberlake. JT is my man and I am freaking obsessed with that song right now. It's not too slow and it's not too fast...I think it is so perfect and I LOVE the lyrics!!! Smiley smile

Everyone has great suggestions by the way!

We're thinking "First Dance" bu Never Shout Never.... I just get a laugh, because it's so FH and I.... one of the lines is "Ever since the first dance all I've thought about is lovin' on you" It's fun, playful, and upbeat... but you can swing to it Smiley tongue

I couldn't even tell you what our last song of the night was. We were so busy interacting with our guests i can't remember. I do know my FIL tried to buy us an extra hour, but the shuttle bus was already there. Haha

I'm with Katie - I cannot for the life of me remember what song was played last. We were to busy enjoying the evening and our guests that I don't even remember if they played any of the songs we requested (I'm sure they did). I had some input, but now that it's all said and done I can't remember.

The last "dance-y" song was "Give Me Everything" by NeYo and Pitbull and the last slow dance was "At Last" by Etta James.
