Late honeymoon?

We didn't personally do this, but there's no reason that you can't

We're getting married in Sept 2022, and considering holding off on honeymoon till February 2023 because the weather is nicer where we're wanting to go

We did, and I think this is quite common. When you think about it, your honeymoon is just the first vacation you two take after getting married and there are lots of reasons to delay a vacation (weather, saving up money, work schedules, etc.).

I don’t think that is a bad idea. I got married in March and my husband and I won a trip a little over a year ago but we are probably going to go on our honeymoon later in 2022 after we have our reception/celebration “wedding 2.0” in March 2022.

No, we didn't. We preferred to save up money for our honeymoon rather than spending extra money on another vacation.

We're thinking of doing that as well! Our wedding is in January 2022, and since we're paying for pretty much the whole wedding ourselves, we just don't have the funds for a long honeymoon right now. Also, we're wanting to go somewhere warm so going in the summertime seems more realistic.

We are thinking about doing a short 4 day trip the weekend after the wedding as a little mini vacation as a little celebration, plus we get that week between to decompress from all of the wedding fuss!

My FBIL and SIL took their honeymoon about a month after the wedding as they wanted to go on a specific cruise and had to wait till it was time to set sail.

FH and I are getting married September 2022 and probably wont take our honeymoon till 2023. FH only gets 5 Days of PTO time, so if we wanted to honeymoon right away he probably wouldn't get paid for those days (or other days he needs off throughout the year since he typically takes some days around Christmas when his family visits) and we can't afford a week of him not being paid.

I’m also getting married in August 2022! We are taking a really belated honeymoon to Paris in the spring of 2023! We’ll be doing a minimoon a few weeks after the wedding but it’ll just be a little weekend trip. Nothing wrong with taking it belated! Helps us save up money for it after paying for the wedding!

I went a couple weeks after but i have seen couples go months after. if it makes sense for your schedule, that is totally fine

We got married in August and didn't go on our honeymoon until January.

We had a lot of reasons for doing this - budgeting, our jobs, and our destination (Disney/Universal). Absolutely no desire to be in FL in August/September (hurricane season and hotter than a pottery kiln), especially peak Disney season.

You take your honeymoon when it works out for you.
