Late Night Snack

Brittany, on April 17, 2017 at 4:03 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 26

I went to a wedding about two years ago and they did a late night snack around 930-10pm ish. They had sliders and tots. I would love to do something similar at my wedding but I'm thinking food truck for a late night snack.

Has anyone done this?

What food trucks do you recommend?

Thanks!

I went to a wedding that had soft pretzels but it was in Long Island and being a Philly girl myself..they weren't that good!

Food trucks sound awesome! Our venue had an ice cream truck option but it wasn't in the budget.

I went to one where they had a chicken and doughnuts food truck. The downside was that guests needed to go outside so most just got it as they were leaving/waiting for valet. We did classic ice cream bars for ours (chocolate eclairs, chocotacos, drunmsticks, ice creams sandwiches, etc.). It was a hit and everyone brought some up to their rooms afterwards lol

We just did a late night snack at our wedding, but it wasn't a food truck, we did chicken lo mein served in a Chinese takeout box and chopsticks with spring rolls and custom fortune cookies. I'm not sure about the guests, but it definitely made me happy to have another chance to eat. If I did a food truck, I would probably choose tacos! Good luck!

We're doing pretzels and toasted ravioli- a St. Louis delicacy Smiley winking

I'm excited, late night food is the best. But one thing my venue coordinator said about food trucks was it'll stop your guests from dancing and they'll have to leave the party to go get it, and long lines could potentially have people out longer. I love me a food truck, but those were just things she pointed out that I wouldn't have thought of.

Our DJ had a food truck option for 1,400-1,600. It includes candies, sodas, petzels, cookies, hot chocolate and fast food options like mcdonalds, taco bell, white castle, burger king. We didn't end up getting it but it is a great idea.

We are doing heart shaped Philly pretzels (they deliver them warm!!) and sliders and lobster rolls. Negotiate!!! See what they may "offer you" before you start asking. I did.

We're doing sliders and parmesan truffle fries and traditional Japanese ramen (our favorite "drunk" foods). I'm more excited about the late night snacks than dinner lol

We did a late night snack, but not from food trucks. They were mini Philly cheesesteaks with Old Bay fries. One thing one of my BMs noticed was that she was always torn when the DJ announced a new food was being served in the bar area right outside the ballroom because it sounded tasty, but then another good song would come on and she couldn't leave. She noted how hard it was to leave the dance floor and go to the adjacent room to get dessert, coffee/tea, and late night snack, and it did make me wish the venue had just done all of the post dinner food displays inside the ballroom for the convenience factor. I would think having guests have to go outside to a food truck would make it even harder for them to drag themselves away from the party to get their snack.

Our venue is right on their private beach and they have fire pits to toast smores so we are having that! Food trucks are cool you should also ask your venue/caterer if they do their own in house late night snacks!

We had late night snacks, but not from a food truck. We had chicken fingers, a mashed potato bar, truffle fries, and sliders. Not sure if they have it where you're from, but I know In-N-Out Burger has a food truck that I would love at a wedding.

We are doing a late night snack of WV pepperoni rolls with dipping sauce. We talked and worked with our caterer extensively to ensure we have both Pepper Jack rolls and Cheddar. I'm super excited!!
