Leaving for honeymoon after wedding?

So my fh says that once we have our reception we just up and leave to go to our honeymoon. I've only been to weddings where the bride and groom party and dance till 12-1 AM, then leave the next day. So what is supposed to happen? You just leave the reception and leave everyone behind to clean up...

We get married Saturday, hosting a small brunch at home for immediate family/BP/OOT guests, and then leaving Monday!

Got married the first week in January and taking our honeymoon the end of April. If I didn't have a destination wedding, we would have probably within a day or two of the wedding.. It's been something to look forward to the past few months.

We're doing a late morning brunch the day after as an extra thank you to our OOT guest and families. Then driving down to Disneyland for a few days. We're splurging on the hotel and taking advantage of their spa. No major movement until Monday.

I've been to a wedding where the bride & groom left the reception around 11 to a flight to go on their honeymoon. We're leaving the week after due to getting stuff situated with out kiddos

I've never known of anyone leaving for the honeymoon the night of the wedding in real life. I have one friend I can think of that flew out the next morning, but most others I know waited a couple weeks.
We have a two month gap before our honeymoon, but we're going to a B&B the day after the wedding for a couple nights because we had to do SOMETHING other than just go home & go back to work, haha.

Wedding Saturday morning. Staying at a B&B that night. Leaving for HM on Wednesday. Just easier for FH to take off work and gives us extra time to get things ready. Plus I'm moving into his house so we have a few days to do that too.

That seems a bit strange, most people I know leave the next day. Our wedding is on Saturday and technically we don't leave for our honeymoon until Tuesday. FH has Vols season tickets so we're catching the game on Monday before we go.
