I'll start!

My FH and I were on a long weekend at the cape. We decided to take a walk around town before dinner. We stopped at a small park along the way. On our way out, I was walking in front and he tapped me on the shoulder. When I turned around he was down on one knee! And I was soooo shocked my jaw dropped and I totally drooled! Haha! Extremely embarrassing at the time but now I think it's hilarious. People can't believe I tell that part but we are goofballs so it fits us well Smiley smile

Ready.. go!!

We hiked Jay Peak In Vermont on our first day of vacation with our dog. Got to the top and hung out, had some beers and a picnic lunch. He wanted someone to take our picture but everyone spoke French (very close to Canada). Before we left he wanted to go back up to the tippy top again for pictures. We found an English speaking couple to take our picture. He didn't want the dog in the picture. I did. We argued. The lady took our dog and the guy took our picture. I turned around to give the lady our dog, and when I turned back around, he was down on one knee Smiley smile. The couple was so sweet and we all hugged and cried and laughed together!

Oh man....we were in FL with his family. It was also our 2 year anniversary and 2 months after we moved 4 hours from home, so I had a feeling it would happen.

We'd been at the beach all day and had a buzz. We got back to the room to shower and clean up and he rips open the shower curtain on me and he's down on one knee. So ridiculous. He asked me to be his gf in the shower too, so it was pretty fitting actually. We tell everyone it happened on the beach. Smiley winking

Mine is short and sweet! I met FH on an airplane. We were both flying from Vegas to Cleveland. He sat down next to me and we started dating offically a couple months after we met.

We were together for almost 3 years and we were taking a vacation to Belize. We got on the airplane at 5am, I was tired and crabby... It was dark on the airplane and everyone was sleeping. He started going on and on about how much he loved me and how this trip was special. And me, being my sassy self. grumpy from being awake at 3am said "well how is this trip anymore special than any other trip?", he then started talking about how "3 years ago, this is where it all began" then he pulled out a little box from his backpack. He opened it and there was a light shining on the ring asked me to marry him. It was private and quiet and I couldn't stop kissing his face. We had the best trip being newly engaged and roughly 99% of our vacation photos are ring shots in paradise! Hahaha

These are all so sweet or hilariously unromantic. And holy crap, out of a plane? Lol.

We were headed to OC for AWD weekend, but his car ended up not being ready and I told him we could go a different time because I knew he didn't want to go and be disappointed his car wasn't ready, he insisted he wanted to go and vacation with me anyway. The days leading up, he insisted we visit my parents on the way there because I haven't seen them in awhile, I thought it was a little weird how adamant he was on doing that but it didn't seem that weird. We go to my parents' house and my bro, his friend, and my mom are in the parking lot coincidentally and I go in to get my dad to come talk to us for a minute before we head out, when I get back, my mom basically forced me inside to show me my birthday present. When we left, my dad was like 'you're growing up, I can't believe you don't live at home anymore!' (I moved out about ten-ish month prior). Apparently he had asked my parents separately during this time and even thought I had heard because he screamed it to my dad when he didn't understand him (my dad is deaf and people naturally think talking louder will help). We go to the beach and all day he said it was my weekend now and kept saying he wanted to come back when no one was there, I asked why, he said to watch the sunset. I thought that was normal. Then we head back out to the beach and he starts skipping rocks for like a second and points to a feather saying it must've been from a dead bird? Lol I turn back around and he's on one knee with the box and ring. I literally say to him 'stop playing, where did you find that?' After a few minutes of staring at each other and then me questioning if it was real while I'm holding the box, he finally points to his mom and aunts who were videotaping the whole thing and goes '..is that a yes, will you marry me?' And I go, 'uhh, yeah!' Lol you can hear his mom on the video asking if I said yes and he and everyone else got worried, especially because there were people on the beach (who started clapping when we hugged). He said he got so nervous, he couldn't even say my whole name like he planned. After it happened, I told him it didn't feel real lol so the next day when we were driving, I started crying and he was like 'is it real now?'

If you actually read that whole thing, props to you lol.

We had been in agreement we were going to marry eventually since we'd been together maybe two years -- apparently at some point I looked at her and said "so, you wanna...?" with much eyebrow involved -- but we wanted to wait until either she was 26 or I had good health insurance to put her on, and it wasn't legal for a good chunk of that time anyway.

Then in April I got the news that I'd be going before the bet din to convert officially later this year, so I took the news home to her and we decided to start planning. She kept half-joking that she wouldn't marry me unless I did a formal, theatrical public proposal, so I was like, okay, clearly she really wants this so let's make it happen. I told FI that week to start leaving her ring in convenient places for me to squirrel it away, told her to wear something she was OK with being photographed in the day of, grabbed our photographer friend and her family and took everyone to the train museum (FI's favorite) on a weekend, and waited until she was distracted by the trains to drop to one knee. I nearly died of embarrassment because I'm a shy, retiring creature, but she was happy and we got cute pictures out of it. I'm never gonna watch the video, though, my face might never recover.

FH proposed this past December in NYC. We had just walked the Brooklyn Bridge and were walking through City Hall Park. He asked me if was having fun and got down on one knee. It was so unexpected and absolutely perfect! Apparently he had been planning to propose at dinner the night before, but my best friend and her family were in town and we ended up having dinner with them. He knew he couldn't say no to dinner with them because then I would know something was up, so he had to come up with another plan haha.

We went to Rockefeller Center later that night, had a fancy dinner and went to the Top of the Rock. Everything about that weekend was perfect.

We went to the Georgia Aquarium for an early valentines day outing on February 13th. They had a private adults only event with drinks served and very romantic. They had martini glasses you could etch (it looked like glue you put on the glass and makes it frosted). When we first got there we etched out glasses and left them to dry and toured around the aquarium with our friends. When we got back to pick up our glasses he acted like he couldn't find it so I went and sat down to peel off the stickers. Next think I know, he's down on one knee next to me and the glass 'MARY ME' written on it with the ring inside! It was wonderful and over a hundred people standing around watching!

I was on vacation with my best friend in Myrtle beach back in July. That Saturday morning her and I were on the beach, she said she had to go to the bathroom... she was gone for about 15 minutes, comes back and says "let me take your picture while you're laying there" I laughed and said "Ok" and the whole time she was video taping my boyfriend (at the time) and my brother walking down to me to surprise me. I was double surprised because I never get to see my brother because he is in the military, so he surprised me with my brother and a proposal on the beach. Everyone on the beach was clapping and it ended up being the best weekend ever.

You guys, I'm all weepy reading these!!!

We had been dating for 2 years, and were at our anniversary dinner at Gordon Ramsay Steak at the Paris Hotel in Vegas. (where we live)

A couple weeks before he had bought be a beautiful little Doctor Who bookmark, and said that he had another gift for me, that was Doctor Who themed, that he'd give me at dinner.

When it was time to "open my gift"...I somehow didn't notice that all of our friends who were with us got their phones out...

But I opened the bag, and there was this adorable little treasure chest inside. (I'm crying at work typing this. I'm such a sap.) He says "You know that I treasure you. And I know how much you treasure your Doctor Who...but I treasure you more. Will you marry me?" and I open the treasure chest and see a (Tardis Blue) sapphire claddagh ring!!! I cried the rest of the night I was so happy. All of the servers kept congratulating me. I called my mom and my sister, and filmed a short video for a group of girls I'm friends with online.

Everyone at the dinner is in the wedding (except one, who has been asked to step down. HUGE falling out).

    Here are a couple pictures.

@Jillian that is so adorable!! So nice that your FH had his son be a part of the proposal!!

It was Superbowl Sunday (which doesn't mean much to FH or I in Canada) but I had planned on spending the day writing report cards. He got up early and started playing songs on his guitar (still typical). When I finally got out of bed he started singing "I Wanna Grow Old With You" but changed all the lyrics to match our relationship (still very normal). He stopped at one point after singing, "I'll buy you chocolates and flowers too.." and coughed and nodded toward the coffee table until I finally noticed what he was doing. I am not usually emotional but just the surprise of chocolate and flowers made me tear up and I walked away as he continued to sing his song. He eventually stopped singing and asked if I was coming back! I did and he finished his song singing "Will you marry me?" I don't know why but I thought he was just kidding and I laughed and then started to look at my phone while he was searching for the ring box he hid under the blankets on the couch. He starts throwing pillows and blankets onto the floor and I give him a look and then he finds it! Then I really started crying!

It was Christmas Eve and we were opening presents with my mom and younger brother when FH darted downstairs and said he forgot something. He handed me a present and told me to unwrap it. It was a wallet and inside he had writte a poem. He asked me to sit next to him and read it out loud. It said how he couldn't wait to start a life with me etc and the last line was "And will you..." I turned to ask him what the ending was and he had the ring out and asked me to marry him! I was a big blubbering mess it was amazing. Sadly my brother who had his phone in his hand the whole time didn't film it, but oh well. It was perfect! and in 23 days I marry the most amazing man I've ever met!

In front of my favorite waterfall in the White Mountains in New Hampshire, on my birthday, while we were on vacation visiting my friends. He made it seem like we were posing for a picture and then he proposed. My friend was able to get pictures and video of the whole thing, which was pretty great. We are a very outdoorsy couple and I'm a big waterfall nut, so this was perfect.

We got engaged over Labor Day weekend 2014 on August 30th. We love the beach and go often. We really wanted to go away for the long weekend, but we were very busy and just didn't have the time to get away. So we decided to go to Sandy Point State Park, which is a beach about an hour away from us - perfect for a day trip. It was actually my idea to go there so I was definitely not expecting anything. We always take a walk when we go to the beach, it's a common thing for us so I didn't think twice about it when Jon wanted to take a walk. I actually picked the direction we started walking. We starting walking toward a lighthouse, and this part of the beach becomes rocky so there is no swimming allowed, so there were very few people on this stretch of beach. We came to a place where we were pretty alone near a group of rocks jetting out into the water. I actually stopped there because it reminded me of the rocks on the beach where we vacation at my family's beach house in New Jersey. He started asking me a series of questions: "Do you like me?" (kind of an inside joke thing we say to each other), Yes, "Do you love me", Yes, "Do you want to spend the rest of your life with me" Of course (I AM SO OBLIVIOUS and still did not get it at this point!!)... next thing I know he is down on one knee and asked me the ultimate question, "Will you marry me?" I was seriously in SHOCK, I had wanted to get engaged for SO LONG but I was honestly and truly surprised so my first response was actually "Are you serious?!" but then of course I finally said yes! haha.

Pics: We went back a couple weeks later with a family friend who is an amateaur photographer and took some pics at the spot we got engaged Smiley smile

Well, instead of asking my father for my hand, he asked my children. Mother's Day weekend, we all went camping, and while sitting by the fire, the kids brought out my gift. It was a (Harry Potter) Golden Snitch locket, and when I opened it, the proposal was etched inside. In shock, I turned to find him on one knee there behind the kids, where he asked me to be his wife. It was perfect.

I wish we had taken pictures, but it was honestly the last thing on my mind lol. I woke up late this day, It was our anniversary so I was pretty upset with myself because I had this romantic day all planned out. Anyway as I was pouring my morning coffee ( I am a beast without it in the am) all of a sudden from the living room FH is frantic, saying OMG love, come look at what the dog and cat got into, I walk into the living room and somehow our dog and cat are wearing signs saying " Mommy, will you marry Daddy? We are huge animal lovers, so this made my heart melt.

I always complain about not getting enough sleep yet here I am on WW at 11:30. So here's my proposal story. Apparently FH was debating whether to propose in NYC by the tree since its a tradition to go every year around Xmas or doing it on our trip to Nashville. He decided to do it on our trip to Nashville which was my Xmas present. We did a backstage tour of the Ryman Auditorium and there's a chance to have your picture taken onstage afterwards. There's guitars onstage that you can hold for the pictures and I kept asking if he was gonna hold one and he kept saying Idk we'll see. I just couldn't understand why he couldn't decide. Lol Well we got onstage and next thing I know he's on one knee. He barely said anything cause he's not good with expressing his emotions through words but I didn't really care. It was such a surreal feeling, like no one was there but us. There were some people around and they all cheered and congratulated us.

I was going to post a picture or two but the app isn't letting me click the camera icon.

FH and I were on vacation in Florida. After a long day at the beach we went back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. FH says he would like to go back to the beach and watch the sunset. I was being a cranky bitch about it as we had just been to the beach. Smiley winking. He's never one to rush me but kept saying we are going to miss the sunset. We get there and he talks me into walking in the sand along shore line. He wanted a picture of us by the ocean ( little did I know this was all planned) he walks up and asks this fall to take our picture. She says ok I'm ready! Smile! He turns me towards him an gets down on one knee. My pic says the rest! Perfect day! Smiley smile

Family vacation to Disneyworld. After my family left at the end, it was just us the last day.

I dropped a few hints the whole time that I wanted a caricature done of us. He thought it was just us in front of The Tree Of Life (Animal Kingdom) but it was of me proposing, he was dumbfounded when he saw it, then he realized I was on my knee behind him.

We were hiking at Watkins Glen Park in NY two months ago. It is such a beautiful park! On the way back, he wanted to take a small trail called "Lovers Lane." We walked through it, but it was all muddy and not beautiful at all. We laughed at how "romantic" it was. As we almost made our way out of the park, he decided to go on the trail which led us behind the big waterfall again. When we reached the waterfall, he stopped me and said he wanted to wait for other people to walk by and clear the area so we wouldn't be crowded and could touch the water. We waited for a minute or two and I said "I don't think we will get a chance for it to be clear because there are so many people." It finally was empty and we moved right next to it. He said he had a question for me, got on one knee, pulled out a box and asked if I would be his wife. I was shocked and so happy. A couple of minutes later I asked him if he asked my Dad for permission and he did. When he told me he did ask my Dad I was so emotional and cried like crazy. Smiley smile
