Let’s talk about nails!

Hey future brides!!

I’m not typically the type of woman who goes to get her nails done, and I don’t get fakes. I purchased my own gel nail kit years ago and have been doing them ever since!

however, with the wedding coming up I want to make sure I find the right person! I want to have fakes to make sure the length of each nail is perfect and less able to snap/chip or snag on something for the big day!

heres my question.... how did you or how do you plan on finding your nail salon?
I refuse to go to the mall because they are not sanitary, I hate that they reuse tools on customers like an assembly line without cleaning and they ALWAYS make me bleed when they use a legit Dremel on my hands when I asked them not to.

i hate to waste money trying out different salons but “word of mouth” seems to keep pointing me in “those types” of salons. How do you find a reputable place??

Hi Cait! It’s so cool that you can do your own nails! Was it difficult to learn to do on yourself? I feel like my left hand would be so shaky if I tried to do my own nails!!

Have you checked out the WeddingWire vendor search yet? I have started a search for you and here are the Pennsylvania Wedding Salons that offer manicure and nail services.

Do you know what color or design you want for your wedding day?

Thanks so much for your reply! I’ve been doing my own nails for about seven years with my own gel kit. It’s funny because it’s the same one my one salon used. I don’t have any difficulty with it by now and it does last about a week and a half to two weeks! I did search on WeddingWire for nails. But there was nothing that was close by that I wanted. I ended up trying to place this past weekend which is a quick walk in type of place that I wanted to avoid but everybody was really nice and I saw them cleaning everything so I felt pretty comfortable being there. I plan on trying different local salons looking throat Groupon deals because let’s face it a girls got to save!

I found my nail salon through word of mouth. But if that doesn't work, google places near you and read reviews online and especially on Facebook! I'd definitely recommend trying the place at least once before the big day. I get SNS (also referred to as dip or powder) and LOVE it! It kind of feels like acrylic because it's thicker than gel and lasts longer, it wears better too. You can get tips too to make your nails look longer!
