We are only getting one set of dishes to use everyday and to dress up a little for entertaining. Now, I am starting to second guess, because I feel like these dishes might be a little TOO casual. So, I looked and looks and changed my mind **** times, I now I am leaning toward something all white and a little fancier.

This is set is at the top of my list

Or maybe go with some lower priced bone china

If I go with the white, how could I liven it up a bit? Or would you suggest sticking with the blue?

I love white china. But I would love the kind my mom has. Beautiful blue china with silver rim.

White and still antque-y looking although it also comes with an optional square dinner plate to bring it into the new age.

I had the same problem. Originally I wanted trendy, square dishes all bright colors and then I realized one GOOD set that I could dress up and down with linens and centerpieces would make me so much happier.

At first we thought of doing the same set you originally picked, but I thought it was to casual as well.

This is what we currently have picked for our registry http://www.bedbathandbeyond.ca/product.asp?BRN=1&sku=14234462&. I think the white is classic but the design gives it something a little different! I think we will register for about half of what we want in this pattern and then pick another set with a bit of colour that will compliment this set so we can switch things up!

I really like the second set you posted for a nice basic set that can be dressed up or down!
