Let's talk grand (reception) entrance!

We had our BP walk in to Star Wars, and we also had an uneven number, so mostly paired, with one group of three.

Then, it switched to Star TREK, and we were introduced by our names (I did not change mine).

We walked to the dance floor, and faked that we were about to do our first dance.

Then, my bridesman was suddenly possessed by Voldemort, and we had to have a swordfight with our guests (totally pre-choreographed, we are all actors). In the end, between swords and love, we got my bridesman back, and we could go on to speeches and dinner.

Haven't even thought about it, I'm not having a DJ so I don't know who would announce us, and our crowd aren't party people like that in the slightest so I think having some big thing would be awkward...

I’m also not having a DJ, so I think we will all just walk in. We are also already married (covid bride), so it’s a little different! But - I love your idea of a grand entrance!!!

I will let the wedding party be introduce with a song of their choosing. We are going to enter on "Happy" by Pharrell and the wedding party will form a soul train line and we will each go free style down the soul train line. Then take our perspective seats and have dinner. After dinner we will do our first dance, follow by joint dance with my son and my daughter will dance will my husband and then the entire wedding party will dance to "Wobble" to get the partying started? I want partying and dancing and feel the wedding party need to set the tone!!

Nope. No theatrics here 😆. We selected not to have a bridal party. So, the DJ will only announce FH and I to something upbeat, then we’ll go right into our first dance (for about a minute max).
