Let’s talk wedding favors

Lizandra, on August 16, 2022 at 11:48 AM Posted in Style and Décor 1 38
I want to know, what are y’all doing for wedding favors for your guests? Many couples are cutting out this tradition, while others are sticking to a more practical idea, like something edible.

My fiancé and I have a photo booth planned, so we want to give our guests a picture frame that will fit their photos.
What do you all have planned?

We decided to forgo wedding favors. After reading many, many forums, it seems they are the least cared about part of the wedding Smiley xd we are having a photobooth too, and I guess that's their favor if they desire to use it.

I’ve had a lot of people tell me the same thing. I’m Hispanic, so quinceañera parties were a huge thing in my family. All the favors at those parties were hand made by the family hosting the events and most of the time people would just throw them out or stuff them in a corner of their home to collect dust. I think the same thing would happen to wedding favors. So to save the effort and money, I’m going with picture frames lol.

We did mini jars of chocolate covered cherries! I think the picture frames are a great idea for favors.

Have you gotten your frames there are some bulk acrylic sets on amazon, you can get 150 frames for a 2x7 photo strip for $90 they also have packages with more frames or less, photo booth nook is the shop.

We are a big coffee people so we are doing coffee favors in mugs I m sublimating, I decided not to put our names and dates on the actual mug there will be a few different designs some are cute quotes and others just simple heart designs. We are also having personalized matchbooks out on the bar (this was always a big thing in my family even though nobody smokes haha)

We are doing magnets and Keychains. The guest will get one or the other with some kind of snack. Still thinking of other things.

Haven’t gotten the frames yet. Thanks for the tip!! We’ve definitely been looking on Amazon to buy the frames in bulk. Once we have a better idea on guest count we will order them.

I love the idea of frames for your photobooth pics! That takes things to the next level - both practical and a great momento from your wedding.

We are getting married the day before Halloween so we will have a "trick or treat" bar with mini pails and lots of different candy for our favors.

We're having a venetian table for dessert and our Venue said it's the one food item the can send home with guests so we're putting to go boxes at the table so guests can make a little dessert box for home. There's going to be SO much food at our wedding I don't think anyone will actually want to eat dessert while at the wedding lol

Love it! We have to meet a pretty big F&B budget, so we might send guests home with cookies too!

I'm doing bottles of wine (moscato) from the brand Oak Leaf. We're removing the labels and replacing them with our own.

We're doing plastic stadium cups. Just enough for each person because they're cheap and most of our guests have kids who wont be in attendance and we feel like they'll get taken and used. Theyre also glow in the dark so we figure they'll be a fun addition to the party.

Thanks!! I'm getting so excited. I thought it was a good way to make it something edible but still more than just a food item. Smiley kiss

My sister’s wedding was travel-themed and they gave vintage map bookmarks from Etsy. I’d say half or less of the guests took them (I myself still have 3 years later haha) I thought those were great and useful but it does demonstrate how guests either forget to grab them or don’t want them.
Edible favors are safer although I’d say 1) avoid nuts and 2) Stick to basics most people will enjoy (unless you really specifically want to a good specific to you two!)
