Letter for Welcome Bag

Angela, on January 10, 2017 at 4:31 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 12

What do you all think about this wording for a small letter we're including in the welcome bags? We're having them handed out to our guests who are staying at the hotel. I plan on putting in a bottle of water, gatorade, a salty snack, a sweet snack, individual size Tylonol and maybe a nip. Am I forgetting anything? We'll maybe have 2 rooms of guests who are flying in, most of our guests are local, but still staying overnight.

Welcome to

Our Wedding!

We are so excited you are here to celebrate this special day with us! We are very fortunate to have so many wonderful people in our lives and feel honored that you chose to be here with us. We hope you enjoy your stay and we look forward to seeing you!

Love,

Jim & Angela

I think that wording is good! I would be pleasantly surprised to receive such a cute letter.

Random question - what is a nip?! lol

    Thank you!!

It's a little individual size bottle of liquor, like a shot worth. It felt funny typing it, it might be a Boston name for them? Wasn't sure how else to say it haha

I was considering putting a very similarly worded tag on our welcome bags. I think it sounds great.

I will say if there's space for two water bottles in each bag, double up. The last wedding I went to included two bottles and I consumed both in the less than 24 hours I spent at the hotel.

Glad I know what nips are now! I'm in NJ. It's likely that's the term for it everywhere and I'm just out of the loop lol

I'd not add the alcohol...You don't know if everyone drinks and if they don't there's probably a reason...They might not want to have the access to it...

Your letter is similar to what we did. I would recommend at least 2 bottles of water per bag if possible.

Haha I recently found out nip is a New England term too!! I thought that’s what everyone uses but people use different name everywhere for it.
Your wording is great by the way for the letter!

Love the letter idea. I'll be making welcome bags for our hotel guests but never thought to include a letter, but I'm going to now!
